PETER'S OBITUARY
Peter Jonathan Schroeder, aged 75 of Amherst, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away suddenly on March 4, 2024.
Pete was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 10, 1948 to the late Roland and Evelyn Schroeder. He was the youngest of 13.
Peter was employed by Slipko grocery for 20+ years before working for Felton Machine. He was a huge car enthusiast and very active in St. James United Methodist Church. Pete was loved by all who knew him, especially his nieces and nephews. His brother Tim said “He was a gentle, innocent guy.” He will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers at Felton.
He is survived by his only grandchild Joseph Clunie, 9 and Joey’s father Joe; Brothers Timothy (Maria) of the Philippines; George (Linda), James (Joyce) of Virginia and Thomas (Jean) of North Tonawanda. Sisters Marie (late Richard) Marshall, Caroline (late Ward) Knight, and Jane Schroeder. Also many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia, daughter Gretchen and her unborn child, Nathan, sister Elizabeth Holland, brothers Roald (Dorothy), Arthur (Joan) and David (Jacqueline) and Milton.
Visitation Friday from 4-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Friday from 4-7 PM. A memorial service will be held Saturday 11 AM in St. James United Methodist Church, 4661 Porter Road, Niagara Falls, New York 14305. Contributions may be made to St. James. .Family/Spouse: Pat.
