BUFFALO — Linda A. (Krawec) Giannini, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY, after a two year long and courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the eldest of 11 children of JoAnn (Smart) Krawec of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and the late Paul Krawec.
Linda was raised and educated in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and graduated from Lakeport High School. On August 1, 2003, she married Randolph “Randy” Giannini. Linda worked at Sam’s Club in the Town of Niagara and made many friends along the way. She was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She maintained a positive outlook on life and was an inspiration to those that were fortunate to have known her. Linda was always very thoughtful in everything she did and her presence will be missed dearly. She was an avid gardener, great cook, dedicated shopper and most of all Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Randolph “Randy” Giannini; her children, Jason (Judy) Watkins and Ryan (Carrie), both of Canada; her step-children, Dane and Justine Giannini; three grandchildren, Kilty, Adea and Padhraig; her siblings, Janice, Karen, Cathy, Paul, Mike, Mark, Jamie, Gary and Suzie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her very caring and supportive caregiver and friend, Steve Smith. Linda was predeceased by one brother, Ron.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4–8 PM at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Everyone is invited to attend a Rite of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 23rd, at 10:30 AM, in St. Vincent DePaul at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will be held at the convenience of the family. Linda’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the medical staff at Roswell Park Cancer Institute for their amazing care and compassion, and to her special friends at Sam’s Club for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s name may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240 (on memo section of your check, please write in memory of Linda Giannini).
