    NORTH TONAWANDA. Dec. 27 -
    Stillman C. Woodruff, one of North
    Tonawanda's best known citizens,
    died at his home, 198 Christiana street
    Saturday. Born In Wanpun, Wis., he
    came to North Tonawanda when a
    small boy and had resided here since.
    He was t he first superintendent of
    water works In the city, serving for
    many years in t h a t capacity.
    Surviving are ft widow, Marv K :
    a daughter, Mrs. Sidney F. Smith of
    Kenmore. and three sons. Arley H ,
    George T. and Harold F. Woodruff
    all of North Tonawanda. The funeral
    will be held Tuesday afternoon
    at 4 o'clock at the residence. The
    Rev. Walter Mnnsell of the Payne
    Avenue Church of Christ will conduct
    the service and burial will be
    In the Sweeney cemetery. Sutherland
    Lodge will be in charge.

    street at 5 o'clock this afternoon
    The ceremony was performed by the
    Reverend Verle W. Blair of North
    Tonawanda in the presence of only the
    immediate relatives Among' the out-

    of-town guests present were Mrs. Dora
    Smith, the Misses Agnes aad Helen
    Smith of Seneca Falls. Mr. and Mrs.
    Smith left for Cleveland, where they
    will make their future home.
