    memories were brought to
    mind when Mr. and Mrs.
    Ellsworth Worden were
    surprised by friends and
    relatives at a 45th wedding
    anniversary party.
    The party was arranged
    by the couple's four
    daughters and their families
    at the Boonville. Elks Club
    December 3. In addition to a

    buffet and dance band, the
    girls sang several favorite
    songs for their honored
    -parents.
    Friends from this village
    and the surrounding
    community, many of whom
    worked with the Wardens,
    enjoyed the event.
    Mr.'and Mrs. Warden are
    retired.

    of Fairchild Road, died today
    in his home.
    Mr. Worden was born in the
    Town of Russia. He married
    Iona Clark in 1915 in Remsen.
    -He had owned-and-operated
    a farm until his retirement in
    1962.
    Mr. Worden was a member of

    the Remsen Methodist Church.
    Besides his wife, he leaves
    two daughters, Mrs Otto
    Koenig, North Lake and
    Elton Roberts, Remsen; nine
    sons, Warren, Sacramento,
    Calif.; Eugene^ Boonville; Hugh.
    Ithaca; Ellsworth, Roy, Carl.
    George. Ward and Francis, all
    of Remsen and a brother, Fred.
    Forestport.
    The funeral will be at 2 Thursday
    from the Ackley Funeral
    Home with the Rev. Rollin
    Campbell, pastor of the Remsen
    Methodist Church, officiating.
    Burial_ will be in Fairchild
    Cemetery.
    Calling 'hours at the funeral
    home will be from 7 to 9 tonight
    and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
    tomorrow.

    died yesterday in St
    Luke's-Memorial Hospital
    Center after a brief illness.
    She was born in Wheelertown,
    the daughter of William
    and Carrie Grower Clark She
    married Mr Worden in 1915.
    He died in 1966.
    Mrs Worden was a
    member of the Remsen United
    Methodist Church
    She leaves two daughters.

    of Forestport, Mrs Elton
    (Eleanor) Roberts of Remsen;
    nine sons. Ellsworth.

    pm Monday from the Ackley
    Funeral Home, Remsen.
    Burial will be in Fairchild

    LEICHTY was killed in a
    fall from a farm trailer at
    Route 12 and Dayton Road
    about 9:30 a. m.
    Trooper h. g. Fox of the
    Remsen State Police substation
    said Leichty was riding
    on the rear of a two-wheel
    trailer being towed on Dayton
    Road by a tractor driven,
    by his farmhand, Gordon
    Thomas, 33.
    As the, vehicles crossed
    Route 12, the pole on the
    trailer broke and Leichty
    fell forward to the road,
    Fox said.
    He was pronounced dead at
    the scene bv Dr. Robert
    Smith of Boonville. Dr. T. W.
    Piekielniak. coroner, said
    death was accidental and
    caused by fractures of the
    neck and skull.
    Fox said L e i c h t y and
    Thomas-were-on their way-to
    carry water to a neighboring
    farm for livestock. The other
    farm was without water, but
    not because of the drought,
    the trooper said.
    The body was taken to
    the Ackley Funeral Home
    in Remsen by the Prospect-
    Ambulance S e r v i c e.
    Leichty, a widower, is survived
    by a daughter, Mrs.
    Ellsworth Worden of Fairchild
    Road, Remsen
