    RANSOMVILLE. N. Y., Nov. 6.-
    Herman F. Wrege. 79, Dickersonville
    road, town of Lewiston, well
    known farmer, died yesterday at
    Mt. St. Mary's hospital. Niagara
    Falls, N. Y., after a long illness. Funeral
    services will be held at the
    family home Wednesday afternoon
    at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Arthur H.
    Smoyer, of Niagara Falls. N. Y., will
    officiate. Interment will be in North
    Ridge cemetery.
    Mr. Wrege was born in Germany
    but came to this country when a
    youth of 18 years. He settled in this
    community and had resided here
    ever since. He was a successful farm-
    er and active in several farm organ-
    izations. His wife, Mrs. Louise Wrege
    died several years ago.
    Mr. Wrege is survived by two
    sisters, Mrs. Fred Lindhurst and Mrs.
    William Geisler, both of this village,
    and one grandson, Leiutenant Har-
    old Lindhurst, with the U.S. army
    Air Forces overseas and now believed
    to be a prisoner of war in Germany.

    Mrs. Lena Pipenhagen
    Mm. Lena Pipenhagen, seventy-eight years old, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Wrege of the Witmer road, near St. Johnsburg. Mrs Pipenhagen had been an invalid for the last three years. Three daughters, Mrs. Wrege, Mrs. John Hacker of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Herman Wrege of Ransomville and one brother, Gustav Pipenhagen of North Ridge, sixteen grandchildren survive. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at ... and half an hour later at St. Mark’s church on Washington Street, North Tonawanda. Burial will be at St. Johnsburg and Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate.
