    Betty J. Wrege (Fiala) age 91, entered into rest on October 4, 2020, and her beloved husband of 70 years, Herman F. “Skip” Wrege, age 91, joined her on December 7, 2020. They were the loving parents of John Wrege, Linda Jaspersen, Karen Hormachea and Laura Cunningham. They were grandparents of 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Betty was a devoted mother and wife who worked as a teachers aide in the Tonawanda School District and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis of Assisi R. C. Church in Tonawanda. She was on the Restoration Committee of the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel where she and her husband will be put to rest. Skip was a WWII U. S. Navy veteran. He had worked early in his career as the Foreman in the metal shop for the Wurlitzer Company, later on he became owner and operator of Rege Precision Tooling Inc.  He was a life-long member of the Gratwick Hose Fire Co.  Because of the current Covid 19 restrictions the family will be holding services privately. If so desired donations may be made in their honor to Hospice Buffalo, or the VA of Western New York, Home based Primary Care.

    by the bride's parents,

    Fletcher St. The Rev. Francis
    Trapp officiated at the double
    ring ceremony.
    Attending the bride w e re
    Anne Sergiej, her sister, as matron
    of honor; Miss Shirley Wrege,
    sister of the bridegroom,
    Janet Ernst and Shirley Freise,
    bridesmaids, and Judith Sergiej,
    niece of the bride, as flower
    girl.
    The bridegroom was attended
    by his cousin, Harold Badrow,
    as best man, and Joseph Fiala,
    Warren Bushover and Charles
    Gieenburg, ushers.
    The bride wore a white satin
    Rown with fitted bodice and full
    skirt. A leaf edged cape trimmed
    with pearls featured the
    neckline and long sleeves pointed
    over the wrists. Her fingertip
    veil of nylon illusion fell from
    a braided satin crown trimmed
    with seed pearls. She carried a
    bouquet of white roses centered
    with an orchid.
    The matrons of honor wore a
    gold satin gown with fitted bodice
    and full skirt. The bodice
    featured a tucked sheer yoke
    and small satin collar and satin
    trapunto flowers which blended
    into the bodice. She wore long
    gloves and carried a cascade
    bouquet of rust chrysanthemums
    and talisman roses. Similarly
    styled gowns of emerald green
    satin were worn by the bridesmaids

    and flower girl. They carried
    rust chrysanthemums and
    Talisman roses.

    The bride's mother wore a
    navy blue crepe dress with burgundy
    accessories and the bridegroom's
    mother wore a brown
    crepe dress with matching accessories.
    Both wore corsages of
    chrysanthemums and y e l l ow
    roses.

    Dinner and a reception were
    given in St. Joseph's H a ll
    where the bride's table was centered
    with a tiered wedding
    cake. After a wedding trip to
    Albany and New York Mr.and
    Mrs. Wrege are at home in 110
    Fletcher St.
    Among those who entertained
    for the bride were Mrs. John
    Fiala, Anna Sergiej and Shirley
    Fiala; the Wrege family and
    Doris Badrow; Shirley Freise
    and Janet Ernst; Alice DeSimone,
    Mrs. Irene Harmon.

    TONAWANDA — Virginia R. (nee Walton) Bush, June 6, 2012.

    Beloved wife of Stuart N. Bush; beloved mother of Deborah (Paul) Wigler, Barbara (Robert) Collette and Marcia (Jeffrey) Conover; grandmother of Dawn McCabe, Angela and Janet Wrege and Jordan and Aaron Collette; great-grandmother of Miranda Fischer, Tyler Sieracki and Faith Hackett; sister of the late Everett Jr. (survived by Rose) Walton; and sister-in-law of Duane Bush.

    Friends may call on Thursday from 7-9 PM and on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at HILLIARD-CREASEY FUNERAL HOME, 147 Delaware St., Tonawanda, NY. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., Tonawanda, NY, 14150. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Herman F. Wrege, 78, of 234 Ward Road, died Tuesday (Dec. 14, 1971) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Formerly employed by the National Biscuit Co. of Niagara Falls for 40 years, he retired in 1958. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Eldredge Club and the Golden Agers of Tonawanda. Surviving are his widow, Mildred Wrege; eight daughters, , Mrs. Wilbert (Lena) Lee; Mrs. Sylvester (Lorinda) Schofield, Mrs. Bemardt (Irene) Ramo, Mrs. Esther Miller, Mrs. Frederick (Gladys) Hein, Mrs. William(Betty) Thaw, Mrs. Roy (Shirley) Shaver, all of the Tonawandas, and Mrs. Henry (Violet) Bahne of Grand Island; two sons, Herman F. Wrege Jr. and Harold Badrow, both of Tonawanda; four step daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Marilyn) Frieling, Mrs, Donald (Betty). Walters and Mrs. Edward (Jeanne) Hromowsk, all of this city and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Maerten of Sanborn; two brothers, William and Walter Wrege of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sattelberg of Buffalo, Mrs. Else Zimmerman and Mrs. Hubert Holland of this city; 30 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 13 step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, with the Rev Edward Goehner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at the Fretthold Funeral Home.

    Badrow, 56, of 225 Ward Rd., died
    earlly this morning in her home.
    Mrs. Wrege was born in the Town
    of Wheatfield and was a resident
    of North Tonawanda for the past
    27 years. She is survived by her
    husband, Herman Wrege; eight
    daughters, Mrs. Wilbert Lee, Mrs.
    Sylvester Schofield, Mrs. Ber-
    hardt Ramo, Mrs. Cornelius Miller,
    Mrs. Frederick Hein, Mrs. Donald
    Hathaway, Miss Betty and Miss
    Shirley; a son Herman Wrege, Jr.
    and Harold Badrow, all of the Ton-
    awandas; three sisters, Mrs. Glen
    Kurth of Lockport, Mrs. Arthur
    Licht of Sanborn and Mrs. Emma
    Keinner of Columbus, O.; a broth-
    er, Rudolph Badrow of Walmore.
    Thirteen grandchildren also sur-
    vive. Services will be in the family
    residence at 2 p.m. Tuesday and
    in St. Mark's Lutheran Church at
    2:30 p.m., the Rev. Paul H. Frett-
    hold officiating. Interment will be
    in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.
