    James E."Jim" Lewis 76, of Cambria  NY, husband of the late Katherine A. “Kate (Phillips) Lewis entered into rest on Friday May 3, 2019 in the Schoellkopf Health Center Niagara Falls, NY.
    Born in North Tonawanda, NY on June 01, 1942 he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Louise (Schumacher) Lewis. Jim graduated from Newfane High School, and on June 8th, 1963 he married the late Katherine Phillips.
    Jim was a Serviceman, employed by GM/Harrison Radiator in Lockport where he retired after 32 years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren also helping his son Steve with his racecar racing at Ransomville Speedway on Friday nights.
     
    Surviving is his children Steve (Cathy) Lewis of Cambria and Tammy (Mark) Reeson of Gasport; his grandchildren, Steven Lewis, Sarah Lewis and Mark Reeson. Jim is predeceased by his sisters Beulah, Myrna and Donna also a grandson James Reeson.
     
    Family and friends may call on WEDNESDAY from 4-8 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY.
    Funeral services will be held on THURSDAY (May 9) at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
    Interment will follow in North Ridge Cemetery.

    TOWN OF CAMBRIA — Katherine A. "Katie" Lewis, age 69, of the Town of Cambria, died on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at her residence, under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Katie was born on February 21, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late David W. and Marion A. (Strablow) Phillips and was a lifelong resident of the Town of Cambria.

    She was a 1958 graduate of Wilson High School and a graduate of Bryant & Stratton. For many years she worked on her family's farm and took their produce to the Niagara Falls City Market. Katie married James Lewis on June 8, 1963.

    Katie was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge. She was an avid gardener, who spent countless hours on her lawn and in her flower gardens, as well as an avid bowler. Katie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed taking rides around western New York to take in the beautiful scenery.

    In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her children, Steve (Cathy) Lewis of the Town of Cambria and Tammy (Mark) Reeson of the Town of Hartland; her grandchildren, Steven and Sarah Lewis, and Mark Reeson; a brother, David (late Joan) Phillips of Ransomville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, James Reeson.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Town of Cambria. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery.     A very pretty but quiet wedding
    was solemnized Saturday at noon at
    the Lutheran parsonage In Ransomville,
    N. Y. when Miss Marion Strablow,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Walter Strablow. of the Ridge road,
    became the bride of David W. Phillips,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W
    Phillips, of this city. The ceremony
    was performed by the Rev. Mr.
    Oldach. of Ransomvile.
    The bride was charming in a powder
    blue pebble gaoerdme suit with
    a hat of white straw and a Chmlength
    veil. Her accessories were
    white and she wore a shoulder corsage
    of iarge white gardenias.

    gaberdine and tweed. Her accessories

    The mother of the bride was becomingly

    white and the groom's mother wore
    navy blue crepe embroidered with
    silver and navy blue accessories.
    Immediately after the wedding, a
    reception was held at the home cf
    the brides parents. The rooms were
    beautifully decorated in white and
    pink, with a large white wadding
    bell. The bride's table, laid for 16
    was also attractively decorated and
    centered with a large white wedding
    cake.
    After the reception Mr. and Mrs
    Phillips left for a tour of the Adirondacks.

    SCHUMACHER - Henry W. Schumacher, 77, of 522 Willow Ave., North Tonawanda, died Saturday (July 1, 1961) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Matthew Lutheran. Church and was formerly a guard at The Wurlitzer Co. He was the husband of the late Ida Dumke Schumacher, who died in 1959. Survivors include six sons, Arnold of Rochester, Lester, Howard, Henry, Edward and Glenwood, all of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Louise) Lewis of Lockport and Mrs. Robert (Leona) Schroeder of North Tonawanda; one brother, Albert; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Martin and Mrs. John Popilea, all of North Tonawanda, 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted there Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. A. W.
