    GASPORT — Richard C. Baes, age 77, of Gasport, entered into rest on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at his home. Born November 5, 1933 in Chula Vista, CA, he was the son of the late Charles and Lillian (Wruck) Baes.

    After graduating from Lockport High School in 1951, Richard joined the US Navy. He met and married his wife, Lois (Crabb) Baes, August 2, 1958, in Two Rivers, WI. Mrs. Baes died August 8, 2004. After leaving the military he and his wife made their home in Gasport. Richard was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, life member of the Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company, Terry’s Corners-Wolcottsville Benevolent Association, Lockport American Legion #410, Lockport Elks Lodge #41 and Niagara County Volunteer Fire Police Association. He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, bowling, gardening and spending time with his family. He had lived in Gasport since 1964; previously of Two Rivers, WI and Lockport.

    Richard is survived by his loving children, Jeffrey (Amy) Baes of Gasport and Kim (Joe) Middione of Fresno, CA, Stephen, Nicholas and Bryan Baes of Gasport and Samantha Reid of Gasport. Brother of John Baes of Monroe, LA, Barbara (Robert) Boudreaux of Reidsville, NC and Glorine Jones of Monroe, LA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Richard on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Avenue, Gasport, NY, with the Reverend Rodney Klinzing officiating. Inurnment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, Gasport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company Building Fund, 7801 Chestnut Ridge Road, Gasport, NY 14067.     Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today for Clifford Charles Baes, 71, of 112 Westchester Dr., Monroe at the Trinity Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Arthur Betz officiating.

    Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Kilpatricks Funeral Home of Monroe.

    Mr. Baes died Tuesday morning at St. Francis Medical Center following a brief illness.

    Survivors include his widow, Lillian Baes of Monroe; two sons, Richard Baes of Gasport, N.Y. and John Baes of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Glorine Jones of Monroe and Mrs. Barbara Boudreaux of Reedsville, N.C.: one sister, Mrs. Alice Hooter of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

    Pallbearers were Elmer Stock, V. J. Casamento, Art Johnson, Ed Johnson, Bill Tucker and Matt Jones.

    Baes, 80, of Maplewood Drive,
    Gasport, died Saturday (April
    14, 1962) as he strolled in
    Main Street.
    Mr. Baes, who had lived
    here most of his life, collapsed
    on the street after an
    apparent heart attack. He was
    pronounced dead by Dr. Francis
    Clifford.
    Born in the Town of Hartland,
    he was the son of John
    and Rosina Baes. He had
    worked as a painter, and carpenter
    in this community for
    many years. He was a member
    of the Gasport Friends
    Church.
    Survivors include his widow,
    Mrs. Harriet Baes, two
    sons, Clifford Baes, Louisiana;
    Walter Baes, Florida; a daughter,
    Mrs. Alice Hooter, Sanborn;
    a brother, George Baes,
    Lockport. Also surviving are
    nine grandchildren and six
    great-grandchildren.
    Rev. Norman Boley, will
    conduct funeral services at 11
    a.m. Wednesday at the Bream
    Funeral Home, Gasport. Burial
    will be in Hartland Central
    Cemetery.

    -August C. Wruck.
    Town of Royalton. who died Oct. 29,
    left the life use of his Royalton farm
    to his son. John, provided that "he
    shall always permit such of my other
    children as may so desire to live ln
    the home on such farm."
    Mr. Wruck directed that after the
    death of his son. John, the farm
    shall go to such of his other children
    as shall have been living there
    for' at least a year preceding John's
    death. If none has lived there a
    year, John will be permitted to will
