Mrs. Mary Hegel, 77 years old,
widow of Andrew Hegel, 1315 Whirlpool
street, died at the family home
this momlng. She was a native and
lifelong resident of this city and had a
wide circle of friends. Funeral services
will be held at the family home
at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev.
Arthur H. Schmoyer officiating. Burial
will be In Oakwood cemetery.
Mrs. Hegel Is survived by two sons,
William F. Hegel, of Detroit, and John
Hegel, of this city; two daughters,
Margaret and Matilda Hegel, of this
city; a brother, Frederick Zelger, of
this city, and two nephews, Carl
Zeiger, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Walter
Zeiger, of Niagara Falls, Ont. She
was A charter member of the Ladies'
Aid society of the Zion Evangelical
Lutheran church.

Frederick Zeiger died at his home on the
River road this morning of dropsy. He
was bom in Germany in 1825 making him
68 years old. He came to this city
when a mere lad and has resided here ever
since.
Besides a wife and four children. three.
brothers, Daniel, Charles and Frank of Ihls
city, and three sisters. Mrs Binkley, Mrs.
Schomock of LaSalle, and Mrs. Uhl of Wisconsin mourn his loss. He was a member
of several German societies. The funeral
will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
