Cheryl married her neighborhood sweetheart, Robert McCall, Jr. on October 1, 1977 and worked in the insurance industry at Hartford and Cigna for several years, until her children Matt and Todd were born. Cheryl was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, where she volunteered to teach Sunday School, and led the youth group. Her Bible verse to live by was from Deuteronomy 6:5 - "Love the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength". She lived out her faith with family, friends, and even strangers. You could tell by the joy she brought to others when she was around.
