Mrs. Mildred C a r m e la
Barto, 77, died S a t u r d ay
(June 6, 1970) in St. Mary's
Manor where she had been
residing for two years.
Born' in Italy, Mrs. Barto
came to this city in 1896, liv-.
ing for over 50 years at 2716
10th St.
She was a charter member
of the Bishop's Committee of
Sacred Heart Church, serving
in the organization for over
25 years. She was also a
member of the auxiliary of
the Cristoforo Colombo Society.
The widow of the late
Joseph L. Barto Sr. who died
in 1968, she is survived by
two sons, Peter J. and Joseph
A. Barto; five daughters,
Mrs. Frank B. (Ann) Aversa;
Mrs. James (Jennie) Cardamone;
Mrs. M a r i on
(Florence) QuagEa, Mrs.
Adolph (Rita) Del Zoppo, and
Mrs. James Tweed, all of this
city.
Also surviving are a twin
brother, Rocco White o f
Niagara Falls; 28 grandchildren
and seven g r e a t -
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at the Rhoney Funeral
Home Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
and at Sacred Heart Church
at 9:15 a.m. Burial will be
in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
funeral home from 2 to 5 p.m.
and 7 to 10 p.m. today and
Monday.

granted the Apostolic Blessing
of Pope John XXIII on
the occasion of their 50th
wedding anniversary June
4. They renewed their
marriage vows at a Mass of
Thanksgiving celebrated at
St. Joseph's Church, where
they were married 50 years
ago.
Family and relatives honored
the Jubllarians at a
dinner and reception which
followed the Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Barto are
the parents of seven children:
Peter J. Barto, Westwood
Drive; Mrs. Ann Aversa,
17th Street; Mrs. Jane
Cardamone, Pine Avenue;
Mrs. Florence Quaglia, Elmwood
Avenue; Joseph A.
Barto Jr., 77th Street; Mrs.

Avenue, and Mrs. Dolores
Tweed, Cayuga Drive. They
have 28 grandchildren.
