    Mr. and Mrs. Lavente Bennion
    are residing at Niagara Falls after
    returning from their wedding
    trip. The couple was married at
    St Stephen's Episcopal Church
    Niagara Falls, with the Rev. Cuthbert
    MacLean officiating at the
    double-ring ceremony. The bride is
    the former Stella Ross. Mr. Ben
    aion is the son of Mr. and Mrs
    Raymond Bennion, Lockpoil Road
    Sanborn.
    The bride wore a blue taffeta
    ballerina - length dress with a light
    blue scalloped hat with rhine
    stones. Mrs. Earl Heiman. matron
    of honor, wore a light blue taffeta
    ballerina length dress with a pink
    push hat. Each wore a corsage
    of roses.
    Jerry Bennion was best man.
    The reception was held at the
    Prospect House. The mother of the
    bridegroom wore a pink nylon lace
    dress with a corsage of lily-of-the valley
    and asters.

    honor Saturday at a party
    given at the home of one of
    their sons, Douglas Bennion,
    on the occasion of their 50th
    wedding anniversary.
    Friends' of the couple attended
    the open house at 3254
    Saunders Settlement Road.
    The couple was married
    June 12, 1918, in Pavilion, and
    came to live in the Sanborn
    area about 35 years ago.
    Mr. Bennion retired'about
    five years ago from the Olin-
    Mathicson Chemical Corp.,
    where he had been employed
    for more than 20 years.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bennion have
    five children: La Verne Bennion,
    Sanborn; Gerald Bennion,
    Hamburg; Warrant. Officer
    Glen Bennion, now in the
    military .service off the coast
    of Vietnam; Douglas Bennion
    and Mrs. Beulah Mueller, Sanborn.
    Two other- c h i l d r e n,
    Dallas Bennion and Calvin
    Bennion, are now deceased.
    They also have 14 grandchildren
    and two great-grandchildren

    Mrs*. Matilda M. Bennion, wid
    ow of the late Henry H.- Bennion
    died in Genesee Falls at the home
    of her granddaughter, Mrs. Ev
    erett Strain on Sunday, July 25th.
    The funeral services were held at
    the home of her daughter, Mrs.
    Roy Tuttle of Johnsonburg on
    Wednesday, July 28th at 2:00 p.m.
    with the Rev. Andrew G. Podles-
    ney of Portageville officiating. The
    burial was in the Mumford cem-
    etery. Mrs. Bennion was born in
    Buffalo on July 10, 1862 and was
    the daughter of Joseph and Mary
    Schoville Tasker. Her husband
    died March 14, 1932, but she is
    survived by seven sons and three
    daughters, David Bennion of
    Scottsville, Mrs. Roy Tuttle of
    Johnsonburg, Owen Bennion of St.
    Thomas, Ontario, Chester Bennion
    of Castile, Donald Bennion, Mrs.
    Homer Nevinger, Raymond Ben-
    nion and Frank Bennion of Ni-
    agara Falls, N.Y., Mrs. William
    Witter of Sanborn, N.Y., and
    Wayne Bennion of Caledonia, thir-
    ty-seven grandchildren, twenty-
    nine great grandchildren and a
    brother, Mile Tasker of Cattarau-
    gus. mrs. Bennion was a member
    of the Episcopal church.
