    YOUNGSTOWN. N. Y. - St.
    John's Evangelical Lutheran church
    was the scene of a wedding of interest
    to the community on Saturday,
    February 12. at 2:30 p.m.,
    when Miss Margaret Szabo. daughter
    of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony
    Szabo, of Niagara Falls, became
    the bride of Robert Carl Behrens,
    U.8.N., son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Leonard S. Behrens. of Niagara
    Falls, before the families and a few
    intimate friends. The Rev. Herbert
    W. Goerss officiated at the ceremony.
    The bride wore a navy blue suit,
    powder bide blouse with black accessories
    and a corsage of lavender
    iris, pink rosebuds and yellow straw
    flowers. She was attended by her
    sister, Miss Caroline Szabo, attired
    In a green print ensemble with
    matching hat, and wore a corsage
    of yellow rosebuds centered -with
    violets.
    Mr. Erwln H. Broeker. U.S.N.,
    was best man. The bridegroom's
    mother wore a navy blue dress with
    matching blue accessories and a corsage
    of gardenias. The bridegroom's
    grandmother was becomingly gowned
    in black, with a corsage of gardenias.
    After the ceremony the bridal
    party was entertained at dinner by
    the bridegroom's grandparents, Mr.
    and Mrs. Dwight Clapsattle, of Oak
    street.

    Leonard F. Behrens, 66, of
    1358 Willow Ave., died Monday
    (March 13, 1967) in Memorial
    Hospital after a long illness.
    Mr. Behrens operated "Behrens
    Tackle Shop" at 1365 Pierce
    Ave. He was born in Tonawanda
    March 25, 1900, and lived in
    this city for the last 55 years.
    He was the son of Charles and
    Minnie Behrens.
    During World War II, he was
    employed by the Lehigh Valley
    Railroad.
    He was a member of the Niagara
    Falls Elks Lodge 346, the
    LaSalle Sportsman's Club, the
    Lewiston 3F Club, the New
    York State Riflemen's Association
    and the Zion Lutheran
    Church.
    Survivors include his wife,
    Mrs, Esther (Clapsaddle) Behrens;
    a son, Robert Behrens of
    Youngstowh; two brothers, Carl
    Behrens, Tonawanda, and Harold
    Behrens, this city; a granddaughter,
    Judith (Ann) Behrens
    of Youngstown.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 2:30 p.m. Friday at
    the Hardison Funeral Home,
    Lewiston, with Rev. Paul R.
    Swank, pastor of the Zion Lutheran
    Church, officiating. Burial
    will be at Riverdale Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 2 to 5 and 7
    to 9 p.m. today and Thursday.

    Charles Behrens, 52 years old, a
    former resident of North Tonawanda,
    died Wednesday at his home at 570
    Vanderbilt street, Niagara Falls, N.
    Y. Behrens was born in North Tona-
    wanda and lived here until about ten
    years ago, when he removed to the
    Falls with his family. A wife and
    three sons, all of Niagara Falls, sur-
    vive. The funeral will be held tomor-
    row afternoon from the Zion Lutheran
    church, corner of Michigan and Tenth
    streets, that city. Burial will be at
    the Riverdale cemetery, the Falls.

    BEHRENS-Minnie (Nee Thode) Behrens,
    age 92 of 260 Fletcher St., Tooawenda,
    N.Y. Passed away Wednesday,
    February 19th, 1964 at The North
    Town Nursing Home, followlng a long
    illness. Mrs. Behrens was the widow
    of the Late Mr. Charles Behrens. She
    is survived by 3 sons, Harold and
    Leonard of Niagara Falls, N. Y. and
    Carl of Tonawanda, N. Y. 2 srandchlktren,
    Robert C. ol Youngstown and
    Mrs. Norman (Marylin) Dauphin of
    North Tonawanda. Also survived by 4
    9reat srandchildren. Mrs. Behrens was
    associated with the Behrens Shoe Store
    on Webster St., North Tonawanda from
    1904 to 1914 and been with the
    Charles Behrens Dry Goods Store In
    Nlasara Falls, N. Y. until her retirement
    In 1949. She was a member of
    Salem United Church of Christ, The
    Rlverdale Rebekah Lodse 195 of which
    she was a past Noble-Grand. Friends
    may call from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. at

    the Hilllard Funeral Home' Inc., 147
    Delaware St., Tonawanda where serv-
    ivces, will be held at 2 P.m. The Rev.
    Karl H. A. Rest officiating. Interment
    in Riverdale Cemetery, Niagara Falls,
    N. Y.

    North Tonawanda NY Evneing News - 12/8/1914

    Fred Thode, sixty-nine years old, a
    well-known resident of Tonawanda
    died at his home at No. 260 Fletcher
    street this morning from an attack
    of pneumonia. He was born in Ger
    many and came to Tonawanda forty
    two years ago. He was a member of
    the Salem church and of the Men's
    club of that church. Two daughters
    Mrs. Charles Behrens of North Tonawanda
    and Miss Adella Thode of
    Tonawanda: one son Charles Thode
    of Tonawauda; three sisters, Mrs
    Charles Gau and Mrs. Charles Browv
    of Tonawanda and Mrs. Wilhelmine
    Ebbert of Buffalo and five grand
    children survive. The funeral will be
    held from the home of Charles Thode
    at No. 159 Clinton street on Thursday
    afternoon at 2 o'clock and a half
    hour later from Salem church on
    Morgan street, the Rev. Adolph Hill
    officiating. Burial will be made in
    Salem cemetery
