    Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kaufman
    of 27 Linwood avenue, North Tonawanda,
    announce the engagement
    of their daughter, Geraldine
    E., to Donald Behrns, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Clarence Behrns of 137
    Jackson avenue, North Tonawanda.
    Mr. Behrns was recently discharged
    from the U. S. Army
    where he served as sergeant with
    the 15th Air Force Office Staff
    in Italy. He also saw service in
    the African campaign.

    St. Christophers outdoor shrine

    was the setting for a pretty wedding
    on Saturday, May 25 when
    Miss Geraldine Kaufman, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kaufman
    of 27 Linwood avenue, North
    Tonawanda, became the bride of
    Donald L. Behrns, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Clarence Behrns of 137 Jackson
    avenue. The Rev. William
    Solleder performed the ceremony.
    Bouquets of spring flowers adorned
    the shrine.
    The bride, given in marriage by
    her father, wore a gown of shadow
    print nylon. The fitted bodice
    was fashioned with drop shoulder
    yoke of illusion, edged with a ruffle
    of illusion and long fitted
    sleeves. The full skirt fell into a
    long train. A Juliet cap beaded
    with pearls held her scalloped
    finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet
    of white roses, lilies of the
    valley and sweetpeas.
    The matron of honor, Mrs. Betty
    Stoelzenfels, wore a gown of light
    blue jersey with net skirt. Her
    headpiece was of yellow and blue
    braided net with blue, streamers
    and she carried yellow calla lilies,
    white snapdragons and daisies tied
    with yellow ribbon.
    The bridesmaid, Miss Betty
    Smith, chose a gown of the same
    design and color Her headpiece
    was of blue and pink braided net
    witn blue streamers and she carried
    pink roses, snapdragons and
    sweetpeas tied with pink ribbon.
    Arthur Behrns acted as best
    man for his brother and Albert

    Kaufman, brother of the bride
    was the usher.
    Mrs. Kaufman chose a jersey
    print dress with white accessories
    Mrs. Behrns wts attired in a gray
    print dress with white accessories
    Both wore corsage bouquets of
    mixed flowers,.
    A wedding breakfast for the im
    mediate families was hold at the
    Kathryn Lawrence Tea Room and
    was followed in the evening by a
    large reception for friends and
    relatives in the VFW Post Home
    A three tiered wedding cake cen
    tared the buffet table.
    The couple took a lake trip to
    Detroit and are now living tem-
    porarily with the bride's parents
    They will move in the near future
    to their new home in Allen street.
