    Debra A. (Ackerson) Hinman, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was 55.  She was born in Niagara Falls on August 21, 1962, a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Lauzau) Ackerson.  She graduated from LaSalle Senior High School and worked as an office manager at Botanicus Interior Landscaping until her passing.
    Debbie loved her dogs, camping in the Adirondacks, and enjoyed her wine while sitting at a bonfire.
    She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Daniel Hinman, her step-son Daniel (Tiffany) Hinman, Jr., three siblings: Robert (Janet) Ackerson, Bill Ackerson and Dennis (Kelly) Ackerson. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Gerald and Rosemary Hinman and 6 brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph (Kathy) Hinman, Jerry (Patty) Hinman, Val (Robert) Dolengo, Patricia Major, John Hinman and Rose (Robert) Galvango, 5 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Sunday from Noon until 4 P.M., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM followed by entombment in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Lewiston.

    Robert Ackerson, of Niagara Falls, died on Tuesday August 19, 2015 at home, while receiving care from Niagara Hospice. He was 73. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 7, 1941, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ackerson. He attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School.

    Robert began his working career with Union Carbide Corp. In 1971 he started with Harrison Radiator as an electrician, retiring in 2001 with 30 years of employment. He also was the owner and operator of RK Electric.

    He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy M. (Lauzau) Ackerson in 2013 and a brother, Richard Ackerson. Survivors include four children, Debra (Daniel) Hinman; Robert (Janet) Ackerson, Jr; William Ackerson and Dennis (Kelly) Ackerson; five grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla; Christopher; Alexis and Kyle; several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call Friday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.

    BUFFALO — Dorothy M. (Lauzau) Ackerson, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital. She was 71. She was born in Niagara Falls on March 31, 1941, a daughter of the late Wilbur F. and Winifred (Burridge) Lauzau. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

    Dorothy married Robert Ackerson in 1961 and they remained happily married for 51 years, until her passing. She was an avid Elvis Presley collector and fan, but her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.

    She is survived by her four children, Debra (Daniel) Hinman, Robert (Janet) Ackerson, Jr., William Ackerson and Dennis (Kelly) Ackerson; five grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla, Christopher, Alexis and Kyle. She is also survived by six siblings, Wilbur (Patricia) Lauzau, Ronald (Marie) Lauzau, Joan (late Robert) McCarthy, John (Joan) Lauzau, Nancy (Herbert) Nelson, Mary (Ralph) Vescio; and 29 nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM, with Deacon David Slish officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston.

    MISS NANCY.M. LAUZAU was maid
    of honor for her sister attired in cotillion
    blue organza with a matching crown and a
    bouquet of talisman roses.
    Bridesmaid Miss Mary C. Lauzau, also
    a sister of the bride, wore a gown similar
    to the honor attendant's of ballet-blue organza
    with a bouquet of yellow roses.
    Norman Oleksiak was best man, and
    John Lauzau. the bride's brother, and Stanley
    Nashwinter were ushers.

    morial hospital at the age of 82.
    Born in Oakfield, Mr. Ackerson
    had been a resident of this city for
    40 years. He was a retired carpen-
    ter of the Dobbie Foundry and
    Machine company.
    Mr. Ackerson is survived by his
    wife, Florence; a daughter, Mrs.
    Frederick Page; two sons, Bernie H.
    and William B., all of this city; and
    three other daughters, Mrs. August
    Martin, North Tonawanda; Mrs.

    Richard Gibson. Richmond, Indiana;
    and Mrs. William Crow,
    Geneva; also six grandchildren and
    three great grandchildren.
    Mr. Ackerson survived by only
    two days his daughter-in-law, Mrs.

    Saturday.

    died in Mount S t Mary's hospital at
    12:30 o'clock this morning. She was
    59 years old and had been ill for the
    past year.
    A native of Medina, Mrs. Ackerson
    had lived here for the past 20 years.
    She had a wide circle of friends,
    among whom she was held In high
    esteem. Besides her husband, she Is
    survived by four daughters, Mrs. August
    Martin, Mrs. William Crow and
    Mrs. Margery Howells, of this city,
    and Mrs, Richard Gibson, of Richmond,
    Ind.; two sons, William and

    A former resident of this city for
    more than 50 years, August Steinbrenner,
    76, died yesterday in Cr>
    rana, L. I , after a long illness. He
    had resided on Long Island for about
    four years.
    As a resident of this city he operated
    a lumber-mill knows as Steinbrenner
    and Fisher. He resided at
    1118 Pierce avenue for many years.
    Surviving are his wife, Herminia
    Steinbrenner. three sons, Gottlieb,
    August and William Steinbrenner,
    three daughters, Carolyn Steinbrenner
    Hasley. Rose Steinbrenner Daubney
    and Marie Steinbrenner Hall, all
    of this city; a brother, Henry Steinbrenner,
    White Plains, N, Y.; a sister,
    Caroline Kuebler, Staten Island,
    N. Y„ and grandchildren and great
    grandchildren.
    Mr. Steinbrenner will be brought
    to this city tomorrow.
    The Rev. Leonhard M. Ludwig, St.
    Paul's L.uthcran church, will officiate
    at the funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday
    at the Otto Redanz Funeral home,
    Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran

    Mrs. Maria Steinbrenner, 66 years old, 1118 Pierce avenue, a well known resident of the north end of the city, died today at Mount St. Mary's hospital.
    Born in Germany. Mrs. Steinbrenner had resided In Niagara Falls for the last 50 years, during most of which time she was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Cleveland avenue and Eighteenth street.
    She is survived by her husband. August Steinbrenner; seven children, Gottlieb J. August H., Jr.; Mrs. Wilbur Haseley, Mrs. Bernie Ackerson, Mrs. Ralph Daubney and Mrs. George Hall, all of this city; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are three brothers, Louis and John Mahanger, of Tacoma, Washington, and Casper Mahanger, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Fink, both of Germany.
    Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's church Friday at 3 pm. with the Rev. John Kuder officiating. The remains will be at the Otto Redanz funeral home, Michigan avenue and Tenth street, until Friday at 10:00 am.
