Leona A. Emerson (Jaenecke) age 98, of North Tonawanda, March 18, 2019 while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Leona was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She had worked for Niagara County Home Care and was the 1993 Aide of the Year. She had also worked as a cafeteria cook for the North Tonawanda schools. She was a member of the Historical Society of North German Settlements. Leone enjoyed traveling and attending antique car shows. 
She was the wife of the late Norman H. Emerson. Beloved mother of Richard (Ronnelle) Emerson, Ronald (Mary) Emerson and the late Gerald Emerson. Mother-in-law of Debbie Emerson. Grandmother of 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Theodore Jaenecke; aunt of several nieces and nephews. 
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in No. Tonawanda on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 A.M., the Rev. David Beutel will officiate. If so desired memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Niagara Hospice. Randall B. "Randy" Miller, of the Town of Wheatfield, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the age of 91. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Randy was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a Third Degree member of Madonna Council #2535 Knights of Columbus, Stephen Sikora Post #1322 American Legion and Sanborn Historical Society.
Beloved husband of 69 years to Rita F. (nee Getman) Miller; dearest father of Richard J. Miller of Wheatfield and Mary C. (Ronald) Emerson of Florida; proud and loving grandfather of Michael (Jacquelyn), Jonathan (Dayna) and Timothy Emerson and great-grandfather of Adriana Emerson; dear brother of Nina Jacobs of Florida and the late Harrie Miller. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on FRIDAY, March 22nd from 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271). Family and friends are asked to gather at St. Jude the Apostle Parish (800 Niagara Falls Blvd.) for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Madonna Council will have prayers on FRIDAY at 8:00 PM.

JAENECKE - Anna Jaenecke. 73, of 219 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. unexpectedly Monday (May 26. 1969) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Jaenecke, a son, Theodore Jaenecke and a daughter, Mrs Norman Emerson, all of North Tonawanda: a sister Mrs William Goodbar of Clearwatar Fla. and five grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p in at Wattengel Funeral Home Inc. 307 Oliver St. where services will be conducted at 10:30 am Thursday. The Rev Robert H Rose will officiate. Burial in St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, North Ridge.
