    A lovely autumn wedding took
    place Saturday morning Sept. 24
    at 11 a. m. in St. Francis of Assisi
    Church when Miss Rose Beringer,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel
    Beringer of Highland Ave., became
    the bride of Joseph Nowak, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nowak Sr. of
    Simson St. The Rt. Rev. Msgr.
    John A. Weismantel officiated at
    the double ring ceremony before
    an altar decorated with white gladioli,
    palms and candelabra.
    Miss Marie Bacon sang "Mother
    at Thy Feet is Kneeling" preceding
    the ceremony and "Ave Maria"
    accompanied by Mrs. William
    Bacon at the organ.
    The bride wore a gown of white
    slipper satin made with a high
    neckline featuring a swirl scroll of
    padding and beads, tailored sleeves

    taporing into points over the
    wrists' and a full skirt falling into
    a circular train. Her veil of French
    imported illusion was fingertip
    length and was held by a bonnettype
    coronet of satin edged with
    orange blossoms covered with
    tulle. Given m marriage by her
    father she carried a bouquet of
    purple orchids, white pompons and
    stephonitis.
    Mrs. Daniel Reisch was matronof-
    honor for her sister wearing a
    gown of yellow satin with an illusion
    neckline scalloped bertha
    edged in lace, a gathered skirt with
    lace inserts and a ruffle of lace at
    the hemline. Her picture hat of
    yellow Chanally lace and long
    gauntlets completed her ensemble.
    She carried a colonial bouquet of
    rust pompons and yellow talisman
    roses.
    Mrs. Charles Tomasetti, sister of
    the bride, and Miss Geraldine
    Stadler were bridesmaids. They
    wore similar costumes in French
    blue and pink satin and carried
    colonial bouquets of pink-tinted
    pompons and pink roses. All attendants
    wore rhinestone necklaces,
    gifts of the bride.
    Peter M a z u r attended his
    brother-in-law as best man. Frank
    Beringer and Daniel Reisch were
    ushers.
    Mrs. Beringer, mother of the
    bride, wore a street length dress of
    Hunter green crepe with brown
    accessories and a corsage of gar-
    denias. The bridegroom's mother
    chose black and white print with
    black accessories and a corsage of
    gardenias.
    After the ceremony a wedding
    dinner was served to the bridal
    arty in Colbin Casino. A recep-
    tion, with 300 guests attending, was
    given in Cleveland Hall. Guests
    came from Buffalo, Lockport, Nia-
    gara Falls and Detroit.
    For her traveling ensemble the

    bride wore a beige and white
    striped suit with dark green accessories,
    an orchid corsage and a
    rhinestone necklace and matching
    earrings, the gift of the groom.
    After a motor trip to New York
    City, Mr. and Mrs. Nowak will be
    at home in 340 Main St.
    Prenuptial parties in honor of
    the bride weree given by Mrs.
    Charles Tomasetti, Miss Sally
    Nowak, Mrs. Peter Mazur, Mrs.
    Daniel Riesch and girls of the
    Robert Gair Company.

    BERINGER - Wendel Beringer,
    68, of 62 Highland Ave., Tonawan-
    da. Wednesday evening (Oct. 17,
    1956) at his home after a long ill-
    ness. Born in Germany, he had
    lived in Tonawanda the past 50
    years and was a carpenter until
    he retired three years ago. He
    was a member of St. Francis
    Church. Surviving are his wife,
    Rose (nee Sieber); eight sons,
    Wendel Jr. of Buffalo, Joseph of
    the Town of Tonawanda, and An-
    thony, John, Frank, Nicholas, Wil-
    liam and Charles, all of Tonawan-
    da; four daughters, Mrs. Charles
    (Teresa) Tomaselli of Niagara
    Falls, Mrs. Daniel (Anne) Reisch,
    Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Nowak and
    Miss Helen Beringer, all of Tona-
    wanda, and 12 grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Hamp Funeral
    Home, 37 Adam St., where serv-
    ices will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday
    and at 9 in St. Francis Church, the
    Rev. Wilbur Yaeger officiating.
    Burial will be in Mt. Oliver Ceme-
    tery.

    (nee Sieber), 80, of Tonawanda.
    Friday, Jan. 25. 1974 at Mount
    View Hospital. Lockport. after
    a long illness.
    Born in Germany, she had
    been a resident of Tonawanda
    the greater part of her life and
    was the wife of Wendel
    Beringer Sr.. who died in 1956.
    She was a member of St.
    Francis of Assisi Church, the
    Altar Societv and the Ladies of
    Charity.
    She is survived by four
    daughters, Mrs. Charles
    (Teresa) Tomaselli of Niagara
    Falls, Mrs. Daniel (Anne)
    Reisch, Mrs. Joseph (Rose)
    Nowak and Miss Helen Beringer
    all of Tonawanda;- eight sons,
    Wendel M. Jr. and W. Robert,
    both of North Tonawanda.
    Joseph F. and.-John H. of
    Kenmore. Anthony N., Nicholas
    P. and Charles J. of Tonawanda,
    and Frank G. Beringer of New
    Hampshire; two sisters. Mrs.
    William (Helen) Haas and Mrs.
    Elmer (AnnĀ» Harmon: two
    brothers, John and George
    Sieber. all of Tonawanda: 20
    grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
    Friends mav call from 2-4 and
    7-9 p.m. at the John O. Roth
    Funeral Home. Morgan and
    William Streets, Tonawanda.
    where services will be
    conducted at 11 a.m. Monday,
    followed by a Mass of the Resurrection
    in St. Francis of Assisi
    Church at 11:30 a.m. The Rt,
    Rev. Msgr. Ralph M. Miller will
    officiate. Burial will be in Mt.
    Olivet Cemetery

    TONAWANDA, April 30.-Nicholas
    Sieber, 67. died yestorday at his home.
    340 Main street. He was born in Ger-
    many. For the last 27 years he had
    been a resident of Tonawanda. He was
    a member of the Holy Name society of
    St. Francis's church.
    Surviving are a wife, Rose; two sons,
    John and George; four daughters, the
    Misses Helen and Anna Seiber. Mrs.
    Wendel Beringer and Mrs. Fred Grobe,
    Tonawanda; twenty grandchildren, all
    of Tonawanda and a sister, Mrs. John
    Schambere, Germany. the funeral
    will be held Saturday at 8:30 at the
    house and half an hour later at St.
    Francis's church. The Very Rev. John
    A. Weismantel will officiate and burial
    will be at Mt. Olivet.
