Andrees, age 93, of the Town of Wheatfield, January 16, 2014 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Edward was born in North Tonawanda on December 28, 1920. He was the son of the late William and Florence (nee Heschke) Andrees. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European theatre. He was the owner and operator of Gold Star Associates, Inc. and was a former employee of the Wurlitzer Co., the Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving as an usher and member of the Church Council. He was a member and past president of the Rescue Fire Co., a former member of the Adams Fire Co. and was a member of American Legion, Wheatfield Post #1451. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, vacationing with his family, traveling in his motorhome and dancing. He also enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. His favorite thing was having a Manhattan for Happy Hour with family and friends. He was the husband of the late Arlene Ellen (nee Freck) Andrees for 63 years. Beloved father of Gerald (Susan) Andrees of Danbury, CT, Ellyn Andrees-Broeker of North Tonawanda and the late Duane Andrees. Grandfather of Karen (James) Dietz and Kevin Andrees of Connecticut, Roger (Linda) Broeker of Grand Island, and Lynelle Broeker of North Tonawanda. Great-grandfather of Max Edward Broeker, Aria Lynn and Karman Rose Dietz. Brother of William (late Dolores) Andrees, and Virginia (Richard) Lemke. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Son-in-law of the late Clarence and Rose (Dexheimer) Freck. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Monday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. The Rev. Ernest Green will officiate.     William C. Andrees, 100, a retired employee of the Wurlitzer Co. and a charter member of the Adams Fire Company and the Volunteer Fireman's Benevolent Association, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) in the Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo after a brief illness.
    He was born in Wheatfield, where he worked on his parents' farm and attended St. John Lutheran School.
    For 42 years, he worked at the former Wurlitzer Co. in North Tonawanda as a lumber handler and as an assistant supervisor. He retired in 1965.
    Andrees was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
    His wife, the former Florence M. Heschke, died in 1985.
    Survivors include two sons, Edward W. of North Tonawanda and William A.; a daughter, VA Lemke of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church, Ward Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

    wedding anniversary Thursday
    Mr. Andrees and the former
    Florence Heschke were married
    June 27,1920, at St John's Lutheran
    Church, Ward Road. Wheatfield, by
    the Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke They
    are still members of the church and
    are the longest married couple in the
    congregation.

    Mr Andrees was employed by the
    Wurlitzer Company for 40 years

    members of Adams Fire Company
    and Ladies Auxiliary.

    garden and taking care of their
    home.

    WILLIAM A. ANDREES
    William A. Andrees, 52 years old, died yesterday afternoon at his home on the Nash road at St. Johnsburg after a brief illness. Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by five sons, Henry, William, George, Ernest and Norman of St. Johnsburg; four daughters, the Misses Wilhelmina, Louise, Rosina and Emma Andrees; his mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Andrees; one brother, Henry Andrees of Ransomville and three sisters, Mrs. August Strassburg and Mrs, Charles Stang (sic) of St. Johnsburg and Mrs. Charles Werth of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour late from St. John's Lutheran  Church at St. Johnsburg.  Rev. William Albrecht officiating. Interment will be made at St. Johnsburg. Henry Andrees, the oldest son, is in the National Army.

    NORTH TONAWANDA, Jan 25 - Mrs. Emma Andrees, 80, widow of William Andrees, Fall Town of Wheatfield, died at the home of her daughter, M Edward Heschke, 221 Robinson after a long illness. Born in Germany, she came to this country at the age of 18 residing the greater part of her life in the Town of Wheatfield. She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church and the auxiliary of the Adams Fire Department. She is survived by three daughters besides Mrs. Heschke, Mrs, Carl Lureman. this city; Mrs.*Edward Hildebrandt and Mrs. Philip Moll, Town of Wheatfield; ;five sons, Henry, Norman and George, this city; William and Ernest, Town of Wheatfield: 24 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William Runde, this city,'and a brother, Charles Schultz, Town of Wheatfield. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hamp Funeral Home with the Rev, Walter Thiemecke officiating. Burial will be in St John's cemetery.

    William F. Heschke, 54 years old, a Wheatfield farmer living on the Nash road, was found dead at his home shortly before noon today by his wife. Coroner J. E. Helwig was notified. Death was attributed to heart disease. Mr. Heschke did not feel well this morning when he arose so he did not work on the farm as usual. Mrs. Heschke went to the city market with a load of produce. When she returned shortly before noon, she found her husband dead in bed. Besides his widow, Heschke leaves a son, Edward Heschke, and four daughters, Misses Clara and Leona Heschke and Mrs. William Andres and Mrs. Arthur Harder of the town of Wheat held. The funeral will be held at the family home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later in the Saint John's Lutheran church at Saint Johnsburg. Burial will be in North Ridge cemetery.
