  1. 2.  BOLAM, Dale David was born on 16 Apr 1930 in Universal, Allegheny County, PA (son of BOLAM, Dallas and Florence); died on 27 Nov 2015 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY.

    Notes:

    Dale David Bolam, 85, a longtime resident of the Town of Niagara, went to live with the Lord on November 27, 2015. He was in the Niagara Hospice in Lockport, NY, surrounded by his loving family.

    Dale was born in Universal, PA on April 16, 1930 to the late Glenn C. and late Florence Z. (Miller) Bolam. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1949 and went to work for the Booth and Strong Lumber Co. He later went to work for Downing Container in Buffalo, NY, which later became Waste Management, from where he retired in 1992. On March 10, 1951, he married Beverly J. Wahl in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Michigan Avenue and 10th Street. In May of 1951 he entered the United States Army and spent some time in Austria and Germany. Upon his honorable discharge in 1953 the Bolams took up residence in the Town of Niagara where Dale lived the rest of his life. After Dale and Beverly retired they started traveling around the country which gave them many wonderful memories and a lot of new friends. Dale was also an avid golfer and back in the sixties he was a mechanic in the Bill Rafter Race Team. Later he was a mechanic in the Hal Lawrence Race Team. When he could no longer do those things, he sat back and enjoyed his great- granddaughter Alexis race her go-kart at Ransomville every week. He will also be missed by his “hot dog buddy”, Dan Tomasulo. They enjoyed going to Ted’s Hot Dogs every week for many years. One of his biggest thrills was listening to country music and watching the Stone Country Band and The Twang Gang. Dale loved old time country music and had the pleasure of meeting some of its biggest stars through the years in Branson, MO and Nashville, TN.

    Besides his wife Beverly, he is survived by two sons, Ronald D. (Barbara) Bolam of N.C. and Randall D. (Karen) Bolam of the Town of Lewiston. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Dale R. (Tina) Bolam, Daniel (Corinne) Bolam, and Shannon Bolam, all of Niagara Falls, NY, Kristin (Jeffrey) Carroll of VA. and Jennifer Bolam of VA. He had 2 step grandchildren, Jamie (Nicholas) Hebert and Christopher Franczak both of Buffalo. Also missing him are 7 great- grandchildren, Aubrey Bolam, the United States Navy and Hunter Bolam, of North Tonawanda, NY , Alexis and Amber Bolam and Kendra York all of Niagara Falls, Michael and Peter Joseph Carroll both of VA. There are also 3 step great-grandchildren, Samantha, Anora and Liam Hebert of Buffalo, NY. Dale was also survived by his nephew David (Shirley) Bolam of PA. Besides his parents, Dale was predeceased by his brother Glenn L. (the late Frances) Bolam of PA.

    Visitation will be on Monday, November 30th from 4-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where a funeral service, concluding with military honors, will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jonathan Haseley officiating. A private interment will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.     Beverly Jean Bolam, 88, a longtime resident of the Town of Niagara went to live with the Lord on March 31, 2018 surrounded by loving family.
     
    Beverly was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 27, 1930 to the late George Edward Wahl and the late Ada Luella Erck Wahl.  Beverly had been employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital as an admitting clerk before retiring in 1992. On March 10, 1951, she married Dale David Bolam in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Michigan Avenue and 10th Street.  The Bolams took up residence in the Town of Niagara where Beverly lived until her passing.  After Beverly and Dale retired, they traveled the country making many wonderful memories visiting cherished friends and making a lot of new friends.   One of Beverly’s biggest pleasures in life was listening to country music.  
     
    Beverly is survived by two sons, Ronald D. (Barbara) Bolam of North Carolina and Randall D. (Karen) Bolam of the Town of Lewiston.  Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Dale (Tina) Bolam, and Shannon Bolam all of Niagara Falls and Daniel (Corinne) Bolam of North Tonawanda, Kristin Bolam and Jennifer Bolam of Virginia.  Beverly had 2 step grandchildren, Jamie Hebert of Cheektowaga and Christopher Franczak of North Carolina.  Mourning her loss are 7 beautiful great- grandchildren, Aubrey  and Hunter Bolam, of North Tonawanda , Alexis and Amber Bolam and Kendra York all of Niagara Falls, Michael and Peter Joseph Carroll both of VA.  Beverly also had 3 step great-grandchildren, Samantha, Anora and Liam Hebert of Cheektowaga, NY. Beverly is also survived by her nephew David (Shirley) Bolam of Pennsylvania.

    Miss Beverly Jean Wahl, whose

    take place this evening, has been the
    honor guest at many parties prior
    to her wedding day. Eight of her
    co-workers at Power City Trust com-
    pany entertained at dinner at the
    Boot and Saddle club; Mrs. John
    Wahl and the mother of the bride
    entertained at a variety shower at the
    homw of the former in Buffalo. Miss
    Frances Voelker gave a variety
    shower for Miss Wahl. Several
    parties will be given after the bride
    returns from her trip. Among
    those entertaining later will be Miss
    Beverly Creekmore and Mrs. John
    Welsh at the home of Miss Creek-
    more.

    The marriage of Miss. Beverly Jean

    Mr. Dale D. Bolam, Lockport road,

    road, was solemnized Saturday
    at 5 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran
    church. Michigan avenue and
    Tenth street, with the Rev. Arthur
    H. Schmovcr, D.D., officiating at
    the impressive double ring ceremony.
    The bride, given in marriage by
    her father, wore a smart spring white
    suit with matching accessories. Her
    bridal corsage was of orchids.
    Mrs. John Wahl. matron of honor
    and only bridal attendant, wore a
    suit of hunter's green with delicate
    gray accessories. Her corsage was of
    yellow daffodils.
    Glenn Bolam, USN. was best man
    for his brother.
    t h e mother of the bride chose a
    dress of aqua print with black accessories
    and the mother of the bridegroom
    wore a blue dress with beige
    accessories. Each mother wore a corsage
    of pink carnations and sweet
    peas.
    After the ceremony there was a reception
    at Mitchell's hall, 335 Third
    street, attended by more than 250
    guests.
    The bride chose for travel an aqua
    suit with black accessories and orchid
    corsage.
    After a trip to Pittsburgh, Pa., and
    Wheeling. W. Va., the couple will
    reside at 2757 LaSalle avenue.

    George E. Wahl, 75, of 2757
    LaSalle Ave., a retired printer
    for the Niagara Falls Gazette,
    died Wednesday (March 29,
    1967) in Memorial Hospital after
    a brief illness.
    A native of Niagara Falls,
    Mr. Wahl retired from the Gazette
    Jan. 31,1959 after 51 years
    of service. He was the oldest
    non-executive employe of the
    paper in years of service at the
    time of his retirement.
    Also at the time of his retirement
    he held a 40-year membership
    in Local 233 International
    Typographical Union, one of the
    longest memberships in the local.
    He began working at the
    Gazette as a printer's "devil"
    in 1906 and in 1914 was transferred
    to the news department
    composing room.
    He was a member of the
    Gazette's 25-Year Club.
    Mr. Wahl served with the
    Army during World War I and
    was a member of John J. Welch
    Post 389, American Legion.
    He is survived. by his wife,
    Ada Erck Wahl; one daughter,
    Mrs. Dale (Beverly) Bolam,
    Town of Niagara, two grandchildren
    and several nieces and
    nephews.
    Services will be held Saturday
    at 2 p.m. at the Redanz Funeral'Home.
    Rev. Paul R. Swank,
    pastor of Zion Lutheran Church,
    will officiate. Burial will .be in
    Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 2 to 5
    and 7 to 9 p.m.
    The American Legion Post
    389 will conduct a memorial
    service Friday at 7:30 p.m.

    had been ill only a week. The funeral

    services at the Zion Lutheran
    church at 2:30 o'clock, burial will be
    In Oakwood cemetery.
    Mrs. Wahl was born at Hartersbause
    by Schllitz. Oberhessen, Germany.
    She came to Niagara Falls 39 years ago
    and had lived here ever since. She was
    an active member of the Zion Lutheran
    church for many years and formerly
    took a leading part in church activities.

    She. is survived by five sons, Adam,
    George and Fred Wahl, all of this city;
    John Wahl. of Buffalo, and Val Wahl,
    of Sylvan Beach, N. Y, and two daughters,
    Mrs. L. Motley, of this city, and
    Mrs. W. H. Bean, of Anaheim, California.
    One brother, Adam Hahn, of
    Vernon, B. C ; 26 grandchildren and
    seven great grandchildren also survive.
