A pretty wedding was solemnized
Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Brege, Akron, N. Y., when Mr. Brege's
sister. Miss Lena A. Brege was united
In marriage to Mr. Howard M. Owen
also of Akron. The bridal party led
by the flower girl, Elise Wilder, took
their places beneath a large white
wedding hell where the ceremony was
performed by tho Rev. Francis Mnlnes
In the presence of forty-five invited
guests.
The bride was becomingly gowned
in white silk crepe do chine with silver
embroidered net and pearl trimming.
She was attended by Miss
Jlda Brege, as maid of honor, who
wore light blue satin. Mr. Lynford
Owen, brother of the groom HCted as
best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Owen left for a brief
wedding trip after which they will be
st home in Swifts Mills. Mrs. Owen
wore a traveling suit of tan broadcloth
with hit to match.

Christian Brege, 95, died Sun.
day at tha home of his daughter,
Mrs. Amanda Brunning of Wol
cottsville. He had resided In
Wolcottsville seventy years.
He is survived toy four daughters,
Mrs. Brunning, Mrs. La.
Varna Gray of Alabama, Mrs.
Henry Pechunyan of Lockport,
and Mrs, Revere Ackeraon of
Lancaster; Ave sons, Fred and
Frank Brege of Middleport, Al-
bert, Christian and George Brege
of Medina; eighteen grandchildren;
24 greatgrandchildren; and
one great-great- grandchild.
Funeral servicee were held'
on Wednesday afternoon from
the home of Mrs. Brunning, wfth
the Rev. Fred Schleef officiating.
Burial was In Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery, West Shelby.

Funeral services for Emelia Smith,
wife of Christian Brege, Sr., were
held Saturday afternoon at her
home In Royalton. Rev. Frederick
Schleef of St. Michael's Lutheran
church officiated. The bearers were
six grandsons, Donald, Ernest, Glen
and Norman Brege, Marshall Owen
and LaVeme Pechuman. Burial was
in Mt. Pleasant at West Shelby.
