    Briggs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Kempton Briggs of 67 Fletcher
    street, Tonawanda, to Loren Herman,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil
    Herman of 84 Walter avenue, Tonawanda,
    was solemnized Saturday
    afternoon, Oct. 25, at 4 o'clock In
    the parsonage of Immanuel Lutheran
    church, the Rev. F. O. Schol*
    officiating.
    The bride wore a gown of pale
    blue taffeta with a lace yoke and
    tiny buttons down the back, a corsage
    of white pompons and pink
    rosebuds tied with silver ribbon
    and a tiara of pink rosebuds.
    Miss Dorothy Forth, cousin of the
    bride, was maid of honor, wearing a
    pink taffeta gown fashioned with a
    sweetheart neckline, a corsage of
    white pompons and pink roses tied
    with pink and a tiara. Roswell
    Herman, brother of the groom, acted
    as best man.
    The bride's mother chose a blue
    gown and the mother of toe groom,
    wine color. Each wore a corsage of
    red roses.
    A wedding dinner was served In
    Oeltz tea room with covers for 55
    juesta at two long tables decorated
    with pink and white pompons, and
    pink and blue candles In crystal
    holders. A four-tiered wedding
    cake- adorned with the ornament
    used at Mrs. Briggs' wedding was
    placetUwfore the bride and groom.
    Severfl bouquets of vari-colored
    pompons were placed about the
    room and a large white wedding
    bell was suspended above the center
    of the tables.
    After the dinner, a reception was
    held at the home of the bride for
    100 guests.
    Mr. and Mrs. Herman left for a
    wedding trip, the bride wearing for
    traveling a plaid suit with Dubonnet
    accessories.

    Mrs. Mabel A. Briggs, nee
    Forth, 49, died last night at her
    home, 20 Loretta street, after a
    prolonged illness. Born in the
    town of Wheatfield she had re-
    sided in Tonawanda the past 25
    years. She was a member of the
    Salem Evangeical and Reformed
    church and the Women's Guild of
    the church. She is survived by her
    husband, Kempton F.; two daugh-
    ters, Mrs Loren Herman of Ton-
    awanda and Shirley at home; a
    grandson, Dennis Lynn Herman,
    and four brothers, Edward Forst
    of Tonawanda, Herbert and Ray-
    mond Forth of the town of Wheat-
    field and Elmer Forth of North
    Tonawanda. Rites will be held
    Sataurday afternoon at 2 o'clock
    from the Hamp Funeral Home, 37
    Adam street, and half an hour
    later from the Salem church. The
    Rev. Walter F. Hetzel will offi-
    ciate. Burial will be in the Wheat-
    field cemetery.

    Henry Briggs, 73, a former resident
    of Tonawanda, died early
    today at his home. Town Line
    road, town of Wilson. Born in East
    Saginaw, Mich., he had resided
    in Tonawanda many years before
    removing to the town of Wilson
    several years ago, He was a
    member of the Grace Evangelical
    Lutheran church and the Protective
    Home circle of the Tonawandas.
    He leaves a wife, Frances,
    nee Vandre; a son, Kempton C.
    F, of Tonawanda; a daughter, Mrs.
    Edna D. Schurr of Wilson, and a
    brother, Frank of Buffalo. Funeral
    sen-ices will be held Wednesday
    afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at
    the home of his son, 29 Fletcher
    street. Rev. Clarence L, Braun
    will officiate. Burial will be in
    Elmlawn

    F. Briggs, 94, of 520 Morgan
    St.- died today (March 6,
    1965) in her home after a
    long illness.
    She was a life long resident
    of this city and a charter
    member of Grace Lutheran
    Ohurch "where she taught Sunday-
    School for~25 years- -
    She was a member and past
    president of the Ladies Aid
    Society of the church and a
    member and past president of
    Twin City Council 37, Daughters
    of America.
    She was the widow of Henry
    Briggs, who died in 1940.
    Surviving are a daughter,
    Mrs. Robert Schurr, Wilson;
    a son, Kempton F. Briggs, this
    city;; and three grandchildren
    and six great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Tuesday in
    the Creasey Memorial Chapel
    by Rev. Howard EJ. Funk. Burial
    will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.

    Cerebral Hemorrhage Proved Fatal to Town of Wheatfield Farmer
    NORTH TONAWANDA. Feb. 23. - William Forth, 68 years old, died suddenly yesterday at his home on the Schultz road, town of Wheatfield. Coroner J. E. Helwig gave the cause of death as cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Forth was apparently in the best of health when he retired. He had been chopping wood on his farm yesterday. Mrs. Forth heard her husband gasping for breath but he died before a physician could be summoned. Born in Germany. Mr. Forth had resided in Wheatfield for th« last 53 years. He is survived by his wife, Anna; four sons, Edward. Tonawanda; Herbert and Raymond, Wheatfield, and Elmer. North Tonawanda; a daughter, Mrs. Kempton Briggs, Tonawanda; nine grandchildren and. two sisters, Mrs. Fred Rockwood. Cambria. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock at the home. Burial will be in the Wheatfield cemetery.

    SHAWNEE, July 12. - The funeral of Mrs. Hannah Forth, widow of William Forth, was held Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kempton Briggs, of Tonawanda. Mrs. Forth had been in good health and suffered a heart attack while at her nephew's home in Wilson. She had spent most of her life on a farm here. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Briggs, and four sons, Edward, of Tonawanda, Herbert, of the Shawnee road, Elmer, of North Tonawanda. and Raymond, of Pekin, and twelve grandchildren. Burial was in Shawnee cemetery.

Y., and Mrs. James Riley of Martinsville. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the late residence and at 2:30 o'clock, from the Baptist Church at Shawnee. Interment will be made in the Shawnee cemetery.
