    Notes:

    James A. “Jim” Alati, 64, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on August 21, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Cecelia A. (Giambattista) Alati.
    Jim attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School.  On May 1, 1982, he married the love of his life, Doreen M. (DiCesare) Alati.  He was employed with Laborer’s Local #91 in Niagara Falls, NY. 
    Jim was an avid collector, enjoyed playing bocce, and loved making homemade wine and pizza to share with others. But his biggest joy in life was spending time with his family, and more recently his precious grandson. He will be remembered by his selfless nature, giving and empathetic heart, and his zest for life.
    In addition to his wife of 38 years, Jim is survived by his children, James (Sheila) Alati, Jr., Nicholas Alati, and Allison (Paul) Caron; his grandson, Carter James; his sister, Elaine (Michael) Palumbo, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 26, from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Thursday, August 27 at 9:15 AM followed by Jim’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, PO Box 631, Buffalo NY 14240-0631, or Niagara Hospice, Inc, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport NY, 14094-1231.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
