    Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on June 5, 1922, the daughter of the late Frances [Daly] Miller Townsend and Howard Miller.

    Audrey graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was a secretary with Du Pont for 25 years before becoming an administrative assistant with State Department (USAID) in foreign service. She worked in several countries all across Europe, Asia and Africa during her 25 years of government service and enjoyed every single assignment from Conakry, Guinea; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Tangier, Morocco; Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; to Rome, Italy. After her time with the State Department she worked midnights at the Cleveland Clinic in Fort Lauderdale until age 80. She finally retired and moved to Hickory NC before moving to Lewiston NY.

    Audrey is survived by one daughter T. Denise Giannini of Lewiston, NY, three grandchildren Giancarlo (Danelle) Giannini and their children Carina and Gabe of Rochester NY, Marcantonio (Lennie) Giannini and their children Mia and Bailey of Lewiston NY and Maria (Nick) Reese and their children Noah and Sophia of Huntersville, NC, a brother Bob (Connie) Townsend, a sister June Townsend Presley, two sisters-in-law Jeanne Miller and Sally Townsend. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who were the recipients of her generosity, time and "open house". Audrey was the sister of the late Marilyn Richel, Ruth Schul, Fran Honsberger, Mary Kately, Earl Miller, Glenn, Pete, Gordon, Jerry and Clarence Townsend.

    Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY.

    Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
