    of their daughter, Alma, to
    Mr. Howard Baker, son of Mr and
    Mrs. Clarence Baker. Sanborn. The
    wedding will take place August 13.

    Norman M. Esenwein. Lockport
    street, and Mr. Howard E. Baker,

    Pekin. were married recently at St.
    Peter's Episcopal church. The Rev.
    W. R. Shannon, Lewiston, officiated.
    White gladioli and palms decorated
    the church. Miss Mary
    Carolyn Neff. organist, and Miss
    Dorothy Smith, soloist, provided
    the musical background for the
    ceremony.
    The bride wore a gown of white ,
    marquisette illusion with drape
    shoulder-effect and bouffant skirt,
    which had five rows of ruffles. She
    wore a French silk illusion veil
    which was attached to a coronet of
    appliqued flowers and rhlnestone.
    She carried an arm bouquet of
    roses and orchids.
    A buffet luncheon and reception
    were held at the home of the bride's
    parents.
    The attendants were Miss Grace
    Smith, maid of honor; Misses Anna
    DiGiovine. Jean Taylor and Norma
    Jean Eeenwaln. sister of the bride.
    bridesmaids, and Judy Reece. flower
    girl.
    Mr. Lawrence. McCollum was best
    man. Messrs. James Lewis. Ken-
    neth Registar and Russell Somberger
    were ushers.
    For traveling the bride wore a
    white suit with blue accessories and
    corsage
    Upon their return from a wedding
    trip. Mr. and Mrs. Baker will reside
    in Pekln.

    PEKIN-Clarence R. Baker.
    62. Upper Mountain Road,
    died Monday (Aug. 27, 1962)
    after an apparent heart at-
    tack. He was pronounced dead
    by a physician at his home.
    Born in the Town of Cam-
    bria, May 28, 1900, son of
    Edward and Harriette Cotter
    Baker, he lived in this area
    all his life. At the time of his
    death he was employed by the
    Carborundum Co. at Niagara
    Falls as a guard.
    A truck driver, he hauled
    milk for Niagara County farm-
    ers for more than 30 years.
    Mr. Baker was a member of
    Ransomville Masonic Lodge
    No. 551 and Pekin Volunteer
    Fire Co. For many years he
    served as manager for Pekin
    Fire Co. band.
    Surviving are his widow,
    Merald Sornberger Baker; a
    son, Howard E. Baker; two
    sisters, Mrs. Elwin C. Bodie,
    Sanborn; Mrs. Richard Robin-
    son, Atlantic City, N.J.; a
    brother, Sterling Baker,
    Pekin; and three grandchil-
    dren.

    Clarence married SORNBERGER, Merald E on 3 Jul 1924 in North Ridge, Town of Cambria, Niagara County, NY. Merald (daughter of SORNBERGER, George and CLANCY, Nellie) was born on 21 Jun 1904 in Town of Cambria, Niagara County, NY; died on 30 Sep 1964 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY.     PEKIN - Mrs. Marald E.
    Baker, 60. of 288S Upper
    Mountain Road, died Wednes-
    day (Sept. 30, 1964) in the
    Howell Nursing Home, Lock-
    port, after a lengthy illness.
    She was born in the Town
    of Cambria on June 21, 1904,
    the daughter of George W,
    and Nellie Clancy Soni'jerger.
    She had resided in this vicinity
    throughout her life. Her
    husband, Clarence Baker, died
    ir. 1962.
    Mrs. Baker had bee ?.n
    elementary school teacher for
    24 years, being an instructor
    jn various Niagara County
    schools. Since its organization,
    she had been a teacher
    in the S t a r p o i n t Central
    School District and was a past
    president of the Starpoint
    Teachers Association.
    In addition to both parents,
    her survivors include a son,
    Howard Baker, Pekin; two
    brothers, Allison Sornberger,
    Sanborn, and G. Emerson
    Sornberger. Niagara Falls, and
    three grandchildren.
