    A pretty wedding was solemnized
    Saturday at. 4 o'clock at St. John's
    Lutheran Church when Miss Ruth
    Werth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
    Werth. became the bride of William
    Weigand. the Rev. J. W. Thiemecke
    officiating. The bride was gowned in
    white georgette, her long white tulle,
    veil, made In coronet fashion and
    caught with sprays of orange blossoms,
    and carried A shower bouquet
    of bride roses and sweet peas.
    Tho bride's attendants were gowned
    in light green Canton, crepe, blonde
    slippers and hose, and all wore a bandeau
    of gold leaves In their hair. The
    maid of honor was Miss Alma Werth,
    sister of tho bride, and the bridesmaids
    were the Misses Elizabeth Werth, Ha-
    zel Voelker and Mildred. Stanzel.
    Frederick Wlegand, brother of the
    groom, acted as best man. and James
    Redding. Adolph Wiegand and Louis
    Werth. John Walters and Joseph Wiegand
    acted as ushers.
    A reception to about 50 guests followed
    tho ceremony at the home of
    the. bride on the Niagara Falls boulevard.
    Eighteen were seated at the
    bride's table, which was decorated with
    roses and centered with a wedding
    cake.
    Mr. and Mrs Wiegand have left for
    a short motor trip and will be at home
    after July 15th In Ward road.

    Mr. and Mrs. William
    Wiegand of 6920 Ward
    Road, Wheatfield,
    celebrated their 50th
    wedding anniversary at a
    reception Saturday in
    Adams Fire Company
    hall.
    The party was given by
    their daughter, Mrs. Jean
    Martin, her husband,
    Bill, and their three
    children, Suzanne, Cheryl
    and Gregory. Members of
    the fire company also
    shared in honoring the
    anniversary of the
    charter member, Mr.
    Wiegand.
    The couple was
    married June 4, 1927, in
    St. John LutheranChurch
    by the late Rev. J. Walter
    Thiemcke. Among the
    invited guests were
    members of the wedding
    arty: Mrs. Alma Ost-
    wald, maid of honor;
    Fredrick Weigand, best
    man, and other at-
    tendants, Mr. and
    Mrs. Adolph Wiegand,
    Mrs. Elizabeth Redding
    and Mrs Louis Werth.

    John W. Weigand, 77, died suddenly
    yesterday afternoon at his
    residence, Nash road and Falls
    boulevard, where he had conducted
    a tavern the past 27 years. Mr.
    Wiegand was born in Germany.
    He came to America 45 years ago,
    locating in Easton, Pa. He later
    removed to Buffalo, coming to the
    town of Whealfield 37 years ago.
    He was a member of Friedens
    church, the Adams Fire company
    and Vanderveer Lodge, I.O.O.F.,
    Easton, Pa. He leaves his wife,
    Anna; five sons, John of Buffalo,
    William of the town of Wheatfield,
    Staff Sergt Frederick J.
    Wiegand of Miami Beach, Fla.
    Adolph of Bergholtz and Joseph
    of the town of Wheatfield: two
    iauglters, Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell
    at home and Mrs. Harry
    Mueller of Buffalo; seven grandchildren
    and two great grandchildren.
    Rites will be held Friday
    atternoon at 2 o'clock from the
    residence. The Rev. Theodore
    Muyer will officiate. Burial, will
    be in Acacia Park.

    Wheatfield Woman Dies
    WHEATFIELD - Mrs. Anna Wiegand, 84, Nash Rd. and Niagara Falls Blvd. died at her home Saturday night (April 19, 1958) after a brief illnesss. Born in Germany, she had lived in Wheatfield for the last 43 years. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Adams Fire Co. Her husband, the late John W. Wiegand, died in 1943. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Mueller, Buffalo, and five sons, John H. Wiegand, Buffalo, William, Frederick, Adolph and Joseph Wiegand, all of Wheatfield; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Rev. Carl E. Berges will conduct the funeral service at the residence at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Acacia-Resthaven Cemetery.
