    SANBORN, Nov. 17-One of t he
    prettiest weddings of the present
    season was solemnized by the Rev.
    Frederick L. Harburn on Saturday
    at 4 p. m.. at the home of the
    bride, when Helen Jean Wethy.
    d a u g h t e r of Mr. and Mrs. Roy
    Wethy, this village, became the
    bride of Paul Franklin Mittlestaedt.
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Haseley. also
    of this place.
    The bride wore a dress of old
    rose moire taffeta. Miss Marianna
    W e t h y . sister of the bride and
    bridesmaid, was costumed in aquamarine
    taffeta. Arthur Mittlestaedt.
    brother of t h e bridegroom, acted as
    best man.
    Chrysanthemums and ferns decorated
    the home. Dinner was served
    at 5 p. m.. 12 covers being laid at
    the bride's table which was decorated
    in pink and white, and centered
    with a large wedding cake.
    The couple left on a wedding trip
    to Chicago and, on their return, will
    reside in Buffalo.

    United Methodist Church. Sanborn Post
    No. 969 American Legion will conduct
    memorial services Wednesday at 8
    p.m

    wedding anniversary of Mr.
    and Mrs Roy G. Wethy, 5768
    Buffalo St., Sanborn, will be
    celebrated at an open house
    from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at
    the- Odd Fellows Hall.
    Mr. and Mrs, Wethy were
    married Nov. 29, 1919, in
    North Ridge and made their
    home in Pekin until 1926 when
    they moved to their present
    home in Sanborn.
    Roy G. Wethy was born in
    North Evans, N.Y., the son
    of Fred Gardner and Mary
    Baker Wethy.
    Nettie Brado Wethy was
    bom in the Town of Newfane
    the daughter of William and
    Anna Brado.
    The Wethys have three
    daughters: Mrs, Paul (Helen)
    Mittelstaedt, 17 Valiant Drive,
    East Henrietta; Mrs. Edwin
    (Marianna) Klein, Townline
    Road, Lockport, and Mrs.
    Gerald (Lois) Treichler, 5530

    at the Memorial hospital, Niagara
    Falls, following an operation. Funeral

    time with Interment in North Ridge
    cemetery.
    Mrs. Wethy Is survived by her husband.

    PEKIN. July 25.-Mrs. Sally J.
    Withy, 94 years old, formerly of this
    village, died Sunday at the home of
    the son of her late niece, Frances
    Duryea. Perry, N. Y. Funeral services
    will be held tomorrow from the
    home of her son, Fred G. Wethy,
    Hamburg, with interment in Warsaw.
    The deceased, who was well known
    In Pekin, was the mother of Fred G.
    Wethy, of that village, and Fred, of
    Hamburg. She is also survived by 10
    grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
    She was a member of the-
    Ladles Auxiliary of the G. A. R.

    NEWFANB, April 22-The death
    of William Brado at his home In
    Newfane last "Saturday removes a
    figure that has long been familiar to
    t h i s vicinity. Coming to this country
    from Germany when he was six
    years old, he was thrown upon his
    own resources early In life, and be-
    gan to shift for 'himself at the age
    of 12. His home had always been
    In Niagara County. He was married
    to Elizabeth Plain in 1863 and at
    the outbreak of the Civil war he en-
    listed and saw service from 1861 to
    1862. He re-enlisted within three
    weeks and served till 1886, and was
    in 27 battles. He was with the third
    N e w York cavalry. His wife died In
    January, 1907. His death leaves but
    three or four veterans of ths Civil
    War remaining in the township. Five
    sons and two daughters survive him:
    William ,T. and Charles of Cambria;
    Frank. Lewis and Bert of Newfane,
    and Mrs. Ella. Brimmer of Lockport
    and Mrs. Alice Smith of Schenectady,
    The funeral was held on Monday afternoon.
