    1956> in Millard Fillmore Hospital
    Buffalo, after a brief illness. Born
    in Tonawanda, he had lived in the
    Tonawandas most of his life. He
    was a former employe of Robert
    Gair Co. and was a member of
    the company union. He is survived
    by his wife, Minnie (nee Wilke);
    a daughter, Mrs. Morris (Evelyn)
    Appleby of the Town of Tonawanda;
    a son, Clayton A. Ensminger
    of Buffalo; three grandchildren
    and six great-grandchildren, and a
    sister, Mrs Lydia Fox of Spring-
    ville. Friends may call at Hilliard
    Funeral Home, 147 Delaware St.,
    Tonawanda, where services will be
    at 2 pm. Wednesday, the Rev.
    Hermann Miller officiating. Burial
    will be in Elmlawn Cemetery

    Nursing Home.
    She was a lifelong resident of
    Tonawanda and a member of
    Grace Lutheran Church.
    Beloved wife of the late Al-
    bert S. Ensminger; mother of
    Mrs. Chauncey (Evelyn) Ap-
    pleby of Tonawanda and the late
    Clayton Ensminger; also
    survived by three grandchil-
    dren, eight great-grandchildren
    and one great-great-
    granddaughter.
    Friends may call at the
    Creasey Memorial Chapel, 138
    Delaware St., Tonawanda,
    where services will be con-
    ducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, the
    Rev. E. Werner Weinreich
    officiating. Interment in
    Elmlawn Cemetery.

    Mrs Auguste C. Wilke, 87, died
    late Sunday afternoon at the home
    of her daughter, Mrs. George
    Kroening, 618 Old Niagara Falls
    boulevard. Mrs. Wilke was a lifelong
    resident of North Tonawanda
    and a charter member of the St.
    Matthew's Lutheran church on
    Wheatfield street. She is survived
    by four daughters, Mrs. Henry
    Papke of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Albert
    Ensminger.of Kenmore, Mrs.
    Kroening and Mrs. William R.
    Martin of Tonawanda; a son, Louis
    of North Tonawanda; 12 grandchildren,
    11 great grandchildren
    and five brothers, Julius and
    George C. Fritz of North Tonawanda,
    Louis Fritz of the town
    of Wheatfield and John and Edward
    Fritz of Lockport. Rites will
    be held Wednesday afternoon at
    4 o'clock from the Kroening residence.
    The Rev. Carl Frankenstein
    will officiate. Burial will be in St.
    Paul's cemetery.
