    Ronald C. Abate, 37, of 1525
    Whitney Ave., died today (Jan.
    2, 1968) in Memorial Hospital after
    a long illness.
    Mr. Abate was employed by
    the Niagara Falls Board of Education
    as a general repairman.
    He was a native of this city
    and attended local schools.
    Mr. Abate worked at the Carborundum
    Co. prior to employment
    with the school system. He
    was.a member of. the Naval-Re--
    serve for 19 years.
    He was a member of the St
    Joseph Holy Name Society and
    the.Hyde Park Little League
    and Babe Ruth Little League
    Mr. Abate is survived by his
    wife, Mary;' his mother, Mrs.
    Betty Abate; two sons, John and
    Randy and a daughter, Patricia,
    all of this city; a brother,
    Frank Abate,~-Long Island; an
    uncle, Harry Abate, deputy superintendent
    of schools here,
    and an aunt, Louise Nanea, this
    city.
    Funeral services will be held
    at the Magaddino Funeral Home
    Friday at 8:30 a.m. and at St
    Joseph's Church at 9:15 a.m
    Burial will be in St. Joseph's
    cemetery.

    brother. Harry Abate, and a
    sister. Mrs. Luisa Nanea, both
    of Niagara Falls. A brother,
    Patrick Abate, died in 1964.
    He is also survived by his
    father-in law, Carmelo West,
    and five grandchildren.
    Services will be held at
    8:30 a.m. Monday at the
    Magaddino Memorial Chapel,
    Inc. and at 9:15 a.m. at St.
    Joseph's Church. Burial will
    be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

    Mrs. Maria Abate, widow of Frank
    Abate, died at her home, 1342 Pierce
    avenue, this morning, following a long
    lllnm, She was 68 years old.
    A native of Italy, Mrs. Abate came
    to the United States 25 years ago and
    lived In West Virginia for four years
    before coming to Niagara Falls
    years ago. She Is survived
    daughters Mrs, Louise Nanca and
    Mrs. Rose Sacco; three sons. Battiste,
    John and Harry Abate, all of this city,
    and one brother, Benedetto Gaetano.
    Plans for the funeral were being completed
    today.

    died Saturday (Jan. 28, 1967) in DeVeaux Manor
    Nursing Home after a month's illness.
    He was a native of Italy
    and moved to this country
    68 years ago. He resided in
    Punxsutawney, Pa., prior to
    moving to Niagara
    Falls in
    1919. ;
    Before his retirement,
    Mr.
    Vasta worked
    as a laborer
    for the Aluminum
    Co. of
    America and
    the Carborundum
    Co.. and
    as a school
    crossing guard
    for the Board
    of Education.
    Surviving are three sons,
    William; Peter and Joseph.
    West, all of this city: four
    daughters. Mrs. Tenero
    (Mary) Cadille: Mrs. John
    (Betty) Abate; Mrs. Daniel
    (Jessie) Parone, all of this
    city; and Mrs. Marvin (Theresa)
    Mather. of Mayville: 16
    grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral services will be
    held Tuesda at 8:30 a.m. at
    t h e Magaddino Memorial
    Chapel Inc. and at 9:15 a.m.
    at St. Joseph's Church
    Burial will be in.St. Joseph's.
    Cemetery.
    The Rosary will be recited
    Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral
    home.
    Friends may call at the
    chapel today and Monday
    from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
