Heuer, age 89, of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on April 15, 1921 to the late John and Esther (Mueller) Heuer. Harold was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during World War II in the 896th Signal Company. He was employed at Hooker Chemical for 40 years and a half years until his retirement. Harold was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wheatfield and their Men's Club, American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451, Bergholz Volunteer Fire Co., Lutheran Layman's League, Town of Wheatfield Senior Citizens, North German Historical Society; volunteered at Meals On Wheels, Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood and North Gate Health Care Facility. Hobbies and interests included gardening, bowling and playing euchre. Survivors include his wife, Jane E. (Pankow) Heuer. They were united in marriage February 9, 1946; four children, Curtis (Jeanne) Heuer, Mary (Henry) Striewing, Mark (Minerva) Heuer and Steven (Ann) Heuer; a brother, James Heuer; sister, Lydia Masters; five grandchildren, Nathan Heuer, Michael and Matthew Striewing, Virginia Kahmann and Jonathan Heuer; and a great-granddaughter, Briahnna Lynn. He was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Heuer and a sister, Dorothy Wolf. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. 21430 | Niagara Gazette - 8/4/1958 NORTH TONAWANDA Funeral services for Robert Charles Davis, 28, of 82 Keil St., Korean war veteran who became the City of Tonawanda's first 1958 traffic fatality, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Wattengell Funeral Home. The Rev. Herman B. Miller of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. Mr. Davis was. killed early Sunday when his car struck a tree In R. Niagara St., Tonawanda, in front of the Exclon Corp. plant. Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of this city and a 1949 graduate of North Tonawanda High School. After attending the University of Buffalo, he was employed by the Niagara-Mohawk Power Corp. as a clerk in its commercial accounting department. Mr. Davis went overseas in 1951, serving in Korea until 1954 when he was discharged from the Army with the rank of corporal. He was a member of G r a c e Lutheran Church, president of Active Hose Co., a member of the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Assn. and of Post No. 264, American Legion. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Davis, with whom he resided, and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Struebing, this city, and Mrs. Victor Anderson, Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. Davis was driving west in E. Niagara St., when his car failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree, according to the report of Patrolmen Herman Garrow, Robert Ensminger and Howard Perry. The police report said Mr. Davis was pinned in the wreckage between the front scat and. the floor boards and firemen from the Niagara Hose Co. were called to extricate him. He was taken to DeGraff Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m. Sunday. Coroner F. Eugene Ingram, Niagara Falls, issued a certificate of accidental d e a t h. The farm is now operated by her nephew, William E. Nichols. Mrs. Martin is the daught. er of the late Lafayette M. Nichols and Emma Root Nichols. She is the widow-of Ruben Martin, who died in 1927. She has two daughters, Mrs. Alva Barber, Lewiston, and Mrs. Walter Hartman, Niagara Falls. She also has four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is the great-greatgrandchild of Robert Nichols who is said to have come to Niagara Falls on horseback from Vermont in June 1816. Schultz, 87 years old. of No 67 A street, Echota, for many years an employee of the Carborun- dum company, was fatally injured at 5:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon when struck by a Falls-La Salle trolley car in Buffalo avenue near Gill erect. He died at 8 o'clock last night in Memorlal hospital from brain concussion and shock. Mr. .Schultz was returning home from work and started to cross Buffalo avenue to get onto the Packard . road and thence go to his home in A street. He did not see the trolley car approaching and was struck and hurled to the pavement. Two men In an automobile that was passing took him to the hospital. Coroner Harry R.
