No. 1023 Ferry avenue, yesterday morning at the age. of 60 years. Besides her husband she is survived by ten children: E. J., William A., Jacob C.. Andrew J.. George J., the Misses Mary E., Estellia C. Nettie M. of this city and Mrs. J. J. Landers and Mrs. Richard Monnn of Buffalo. Mrs. Skimln was a sister to the Reverend M. J. Rosa. C M.. Niagara University and Miss Mary E. Rosa. Funeral will take place on Wednesday from St. Mary's church, burial to be in Riverdale. 21805 | Niagara Gazette - 9/16/1926 SANBORN. Sept. 16 ,(A).-Funeral services for Henry B. Treichler were held from his late home on the Saunders Settlement road, near Sanborn on Thursday, at 2:30 p. m.. Rev. Wilmer E. Steele of Humberstone, Ont.., officiated. The bearers were Messrs A. M. Barber, Truman Dean, John Maxon, Charles and Amos Mabon and William Jagow. Interment was made In the family lot at Mountain View cemetery, Pekin. Mr. Treichler's sudden death was a great shock to his many friends and relatives. On Monday morning, Sept. 6,. 1926, he took a truck load of children to the marsh to harvest carrots, intending to return to the house immediately. He walked from the truck to tho marsh with the children, a distance of several hundred feet, and talked with his nephew, Harry Treichler. who was to direct the work. He had not complained of feeling ill but seemed in good spirits His nephew and the children left him to start work when one of the children called to look back and Mr. Treichler had fallen to the ground. Death was instantaneous. Horn in Sanhorn Henry Benjamin Treichler was born on a farm next to the one he now owns on the Saunders Settlement road. March 17, 153, the son of tho late Henry and Mary (nee Herr) Treichler. Ho was married January 26, 1882, to Sarah H. Rose, who survives him ,with one son, Mervyn W.. who with his family resides In tho same house with his parents, and two daughters Hattie M.. wife of Glenn M. Barber of Niagara Falls, and Laura wife of Leonard Ressegger, living at Sanborn. There are six grand children by whom ho was greatly loved, also one sister, Mrs. Melissa. J. Snearly of Williamsville survive to deeply mourn their loss. Mr. Treichler was an honorable, highly respected citizen in his community. He was public-spirited, always ready to help In any commendable undertaking. His kindly and cheerful disposition endeared him to all. His ago was 73 years. 5 months and 13 days. 21808 | Niagara Gazette - 9/16/1940 EAST WILSON.-Edward Rohring 44 years old, of the Townline road, six miles south of Wilson, was almost instantly killed about 9 o'clock last night when he was struck by an automobile driven by Donald Weber, of North Ridge, while walking in the roadway near his home. Coroner Jacob Hellwig, North Tonawanda, was stalled and he and Sheriff Fred A. Bigalow are investigating the accident today. The driver of the car said that he did not see the man walking in the road until he was too close to avoid the accident. Rohring is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edward Rohring; one son, William, and two. step-children, Joseph and Marie Kelly, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Dead are: | - - Alfred G. Winter 19, of 8441 Chestnut Ridge, Gasport. He was pronounced dead of a frac- tured skull at the scene by Dr. Gordon Shull, Niagara County coroner. James F. Grace, 24, of 1301 Dickersonville Road, Porter. He died at Ransomville General Hospital about 10 minutes after his arrival of a broken neck and internal injuries. The injured: Willard E. Boyd, 24, of 5440 Hinman Road, Town of Lockport, in a coma and in critical condition at Ransomville General Hospital with a brain contusion fractured ribs and right hip and multiple facial lacerations. Gerald G. Martin, 21, of 6997 Akron Road, Lockport, in "good" condition at Lockport Memorial Hospital with a broken nose and other injuries. CAR HIT BROADSIDE The cars driven by the Winter youth and Mr. Preston collided at 1:55 a.m. Sunday at Rochester and Gasport Roads in Gasport. Sgt. Robert W. Nagel and Sher- iff's deputy William N. Sibolski reported Mr. Preston was driving east in Rochester Road and Mr. Winter south in Gasport Road when the Preston car smashed the Winter car broadside. A witness in another car, Robert E. Baldwin, 135 Ensign Ave., told deputies he found Mr. Preston wandering around in a daze and made him lie down. He also applied pressure to stop the injured man's bleeding from a head cut until aid arrived. Mr. Winter had lived in Royalton for the past five years and was a 1962 graduate of De Sales Catholic High School. He was employed by Harrison Radiator Divison General Motors Corporation, and prior to that by Royalton Industries. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clare Winter, four brothers, Louis, Thomas and Joseph of Gasport and Richard of North Tonawanda, a sister, Mrs. Ward Johnson of Kenmore and a grandmother, Mrs. Leona Winter, Getzvflle. DOWN EMBANKMENT The accident involving Mr. Grace and Mr. Boyd occurred when their car failed to make a curve in Youngstown and plunged down a 50 - foot embankment, landing on its top. The mishap occurred at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday. State Police are not certain who was driving the car. Mr. Grace Is survived by his wife, the former Gail Bills, two sons, James Douglas, 3, and Matt Charles, 1, and a daughter, Beth Jean, 2, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Grace, New Road, Ransomville, three sisters, Mrs. Donna Mason, Long Beach, Calif., Deneen and Terry at home, and two brothers, Terry and Keith, both at home, and his maternal grandparents. The wed- ding party was driven from Anniston to Fort McClellan in the car of the mayor of Anniston, Alabama. She wos a corsage of Talisman roses. Mrs. William unston, who acted as bridesmaid, wore a royal blue matalasse crepe gown, floor length, with jacket and accessories to match. She also wore a corsage of Talisman roses. The groom was attended by his brother. Kenneth McAlee. After the wedding, a reception was held at the home of Uie bride's parents. The bride's table was laid for ten. 21850 | Niagara Gazette - 9/18/1935 OLCOTT, Sept. 18.-Theodore Vol- schow, 68 years old, retired building contractor, died last evening at his home here after being ill for five weeks with heart disease. Mr. Volschow was born in Germany and when four years old came to this country with his parents. The family settled in Niagara county and he hud been a resident of Olcott for the past 30 years. He was married to Ella Smith In the Town of Newfane on Apr, 2. 1902. He was a member of the Burt Woodmen of the World and attended St Johns Church in Drake Settlement road. He Is survived by hls wife, his mother, Mrs. Mary C. Volschow. two sons, Arthur and Clarence. both of Olcott; four brothers, Joseph and Louis, of Lockport, John, of Somerset; Fred, of Appleton; six sisters, Mrs. Lena Kruger, Mm. C. J. Lawton and Mrs. Walter Reackhoff. all of Olcott, Mrs. Herman Gillmaster. of Medina, Mrs. J. Mather and Mrs George Geiser of Middleport, and Mrs. Fred Israel of Wilson.
