Leaving this life to join God, Macaria Geschwender passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, Aug. 27, at the age of 74, surrounded by her loved ones.

Macaria was born on Jan. 2, 1926, to Jose Domingo and Juanita (Rea) Perez in Chanute, Kan. On Sept. 18, 1950, she married Jerry Southerland Geschwender in Fort Myer, Va. She was a longtime resident of the Mishawaka-South Bend area, and resided at 402 W. South Street in Bremen, Ind.

Leaving behind to cherish her memory and mourn her passing are her husband, Jerry Geschwender of Bremen; five sons, Domingo Geschwender of Chilcoot, Calif., John Geschwender of South Bend, Ind., Jerome Geschwender of Osceola, Ind., Jose Geschwender of Bourbon, Ind., and Phillip Geschwender of Mishawaka, Ind.; three daughters, Julie Ann Geschwender of Mishawaka, Christine Weist and her husband, Greg of Mishawaka, and Margaret Maliniemi of Bourbon. she is also survived by seven brothers, John Perez and his wife, Paula of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Crespin Perez and his wife, Mary of Omaha, Neb., and Jose Perez of Omaha, Pete Perez and his wife, Nancy of Denver, Colo., Julian Perez and his wife, Vickie of El Paso, Texas, and Jerry Perez and his wife, Della of Denver, and Richard Perez and his wife, Kathy of Sacramento, Calif.; and three sisters, Elenor Guzman of South Bend, Margaret Rosas of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Juanita Rosas of Scottsbluff, Neb.; eight grandchildren, Jason Michael Young, Jerry Southerland Geschwender, Joshua Geschwender, Bryanna Lynn Weist, David Michael Weist, Alaina Macaria Budzinski, Eric Edward Weist and Genoah Ashler Maliniemi; and by a great-grandchild, Joshua Casey Geschwend-er, and his mother, Carmela Allen.

Mrs. Geschwender was an Army veteran, honorably discharged in 1951. While serving in the Army, she was a teletype operator in the Pentagon. Mrs. Geschwender worked in the nursing profession for many years in the Michiana area. Memberships include the Michiana Tidal Waves of South Bend, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic church in Nappanee, Ind.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, where a Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic church in Nappanee, with Reverend Peter Scott presiding over services.

Memorial donations in Macaria's name may be made to the church.

Mr. Haseley was an employee of Michigan Central Railroad for 31 years and resided here for two years. His F. and A.M. membership was at Lake Orion. His wife, Emma, predeceased him. The Rev. Robert D. Richards of Immanuel Methodist Church, East Detroit conducted services Monday afternoon from the William D. Clyne funeral home, East Detroit, and burial was in Utica cemetery

Will of John F. Haseley of the City of Mt. Clemens dated 7 Dec. 1948. He sets aside the sum of $100 to be used by my executors, hereinafter named to buy plants or flowers to be placed on the graves of myself and wife every decoration day until the money is exhausted. All household goods to: Charles Betzner and Frank Lorenz. To nephew Arthur Bittner $100. To the Methodist Home for Orphans located at West 6 Mile Rd. wedding anniversary June 15.
Mr. Wittcopp was born on Aug.
31, 1903; his wife was born May
24,1908. The couple were married
at Zion Lutheran Church in
Niagara Falls.
The Wittcopps have two
children, Kathryn Gentry of
Syracuse and the Rev. William
Wittcopp, a Lutheran minister in
the Rochester area.
The couple spent most of their
married life in Niagara Falls.
Mr. Wittcopp worked as a
chemical operator for the DuPont
company and Mrs. Wittcopp
worked for the Board of
Education in the Niagara
Wheatfield school system.
The couple came to Clinton in
September 1983, when they
moved into the Lutheran Home.
Mr. Wittcopp currently lives at
the Martin Luther Nursing Home
while Mrs; Wittcopp continues to
live at the Lutheran Home.

Father of Kelly (James) Orsund and Brett (Heather) Sprenger; grandfather of Brett, Paris, Tristan and Sophie; son of the late Louis Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Mislin) Sprenger; brother of William (Mary Ann) Sprenger and the late Dorothy Tooke and Richard Braeges; and his faithful companions, Cane, Abel and Montana; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Louie was a 1961 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a member of the Third Warders Club, Renaissance Club, Tonawanda Aquatic Center and Ashland Oil Retirees Club. Louie played baseball and softball in the Twin Cities for many years, coached Womens and Girls Travel Softball for 31 years, was a Hitting Instructor for Boys Little League Baseball and Girls Softball for over 15 years. He enjoyed playing poker with the boys, avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan, and Sabres season ticket holder for many years. Louie worked at the Erie County Fair in the 1960’s with the Buffalo Turners, putting on a Clown Diving demonstration. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 2-5 PM at JOHN O. She was born September 24, 1926 the daughter of Chris and Louise (Hartwig) DeYoung. She married Carl Haseley, Nov. 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death May 26, 1998. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julian Haseley, a daughter Cherie Tichacek and her son, Russell Haseley. Eleanor retired in 1987 from Franklin Life Insurance Co. She was a charter member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She devoted herself to raising her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Barbra (David) Speck of Springfield, her grandchildren: Ryan, Corrina, and Jason Haseley, Michael and Tim Speck, Jason and Eric Tichacek. There are many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. MARYVILLE, Mo. - Zella Mae Bomar Hilsenbeck, 93, of Maryville and formerly of the Whitesville, Mo., area passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, Maryville.

Zella was born on April 28, 1918 in Fillmore, Mo., to Alva and Fleeta A. (Wright) Bomar. She and her husband farmed for 51 years south of Whitesville, Mo., before moving to Maryville in 1998.

On March 16, 1936, Zella was united in marriage to Elvin Bruce Hilsenbeck in Savannah, Mo. They spent 65 years together before his death in 2001.

Zella was also preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Lloyd Bomar, Lavella Rauch, and Melvin Bomar; and her son-in-law, Herb Roup.

Zella was a homemaker; she loved to quilt, crochet, and to cook for large groups on friends and farmhands. She was a former member of the Widowed Person Group of Maryville.

Zella dearly loved her kids, grandchildren, and was proud to be a fifth generation family.

Left to mourn her passing are her children: Barbara L. Roup, Cave Creek, Ariz.; Henry (Beverly) Hilsenbeck, Rea, Mo.; and Betty (John) Praisewater, Maryville, Mo.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; also numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, at the Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 21, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville.

SAVANNAH, Mo. - Edna May (Clary) Hilsenbeck, 92, Savannah, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Savannah.
She was born Aug. 6, 1914, at Savannah to the late Edward and Stella (Patterson) Clary.
Edna married John Hilsenbeck on Feb. 8, 1933, at Savannah. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1980.
A son, Charles Hilsenbeck; three brothers; two sisters and a great-great-grandson also preceded Edna in death.
Edna was engaged in farming for several years with her late husband. She also worked as an aide at La Verna Village Nursing Home and at the Golden Rule Store, Savannah. Edna was an Avon representative for 15 years.
She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening, sewing and crafts.
Edna was a very loving person and very spunky.
Survivors: daughter, Melissa Grishow, Rea, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Frost, St. Joseph; sister, Mabel Smalley, State of Oregon; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: 2 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2007, at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah. Interment: at Fillmore, Mo., Cemetery. Public visitation: after 9 a.m. Monday; and the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.

Sandra was a 1962 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield Central School and then received an Associated Degree from Bryant and Stratton in 1964. She married her beloved husband of 55 years, Larry F. St. Cyr, on June 5, 1965 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield. Sandra loved to go out to local restaurants, spend time with her children and play games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by everyone. She is the loving mother of Susan H. (Michael) Stromberg and Larry J. Mr. Duckwitz was born March 17, 1905 in the rural Bethlehem community, near Altamont, the son of George and Louise Milleville Duckwitz. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont. He was a former director of the Square Deal Milk Association, and was a retired farmer. He married Alma Bernahl in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1930. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 1975. He married Lenore A. Grobengieser in the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont on Aug. 7, 1976.
Surviving are his wife; son, Lester and wife Betty of Altamont; sister, Mrs. Henry (Louise) Rettinger of St. Louis, MO.; grandchildren, Cheryl and James Duckwitz of Mattoon; David Duckwitz of St. Louis, MO.; Mrs. Jerry (Jayne) Edwards and Vicki Duckwitz, both of St. Elmo; Mike and Mark Duckwitz, both of Altamont; Todd Duckwitz of Sandoval; Mrs. Darrel (Tonya) Gressel of Mason; R.J. 30537 Stanley Krajkowski Jr., 74, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 17, 1948 he was the son of the late Stanley and Genevieve (Gawrysiak) Krajkowski Sr. Stanley served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged. He worked for 30 years as the Senior Plant Operator at the City of Niagara Falls Water Plant, until his retirement. 30538 Stanley passed away at 99 years of age on Thursday August 4, 2016. He was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 23, 1917 the son of the late William and Stella (Stefanowski) Blonkowski. He married the former Lillian Groff on August 27, 1949, they were married for 53 years before she predeceased him on January 23, 2003. He is survived by his children; Kathryn (the late James) Berhalter, William and AnnMarie Blonkowski, Elizabeth and Thomas Marks. Ten grandchildren; Karen and Adin Bradley, Margaret Berhalter, Nicholas and Caroline Blonkowski, Thomas Blonkowski and Nicole Svajlenka, Peter Marks, Laura and Bradd Gower. Four great-grandchildren; Ava and Alexander Bradley and Charles and Quinn Blonkowski. He was the older brother of eight sisters; Loraine and Edward Sherman who survive him, the late Genevieve and John Kowalski, Mary and Raymond Nowak, Lota and John Bienacki, Frances and George Sahr, Dorothy Blonkowski, Helen and Matthew Dubaj, Delores and Adam Dubai and many nieces and nephews.


He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. that built the Hoover Dam, cleared the Alleghany Forest. He was a veteran of World War II attaining the rank of Captain. He served in the Army Air Corp as a navigator bombardier on a B-25 in the African and Italy invasions with the 9th Air Force. After the service he attended Erie County Technical School which became Erie County Community College. He graduated as a Mechanical Draftsman. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a charter member of the Lockport Disabled Veterans Chapter 157, an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. Most of all he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather.

Even after retirement, he served as the interim Superintendent for the Maine Endwell School District and taught at Binghamton University and SUNY Cortland. He was an avid golfer and a 25 year member of the Binghamton Country Club. The family would like to thank the staff of Vestal Park Rehab and Nursing Center for their extraordinary care and kindness shown to Bill. Mr. Bomke was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Illinois Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame. He was a lifetime honorary member of the Earl Bomke Horseshoe Pitchers Club and won the Illinois State Horseshoe Pitchers Championship three times.

Cherie Rae Tichacek, 51, of Dittmer, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born April 3, 1952, in Springfield, the daughter of Carl William and Eleanor Elsie DeYoung Haseley. She married Rick J. Tichacek.
Mrs. Tichacek was a billing clerk at Patient Care Services in Hillsboro, MO. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dittmer.
Survivors: husband, Rick; two sons, Jason and Eric Tichacek, both of Dittmer; mother, Eleanor Haseley of Springfield; a sister, Barbra K. (husband, David) Speck of Springfield; and a brother, Russell Carl Haseley of Springfield.
Services: 11 A.M. Saturday, Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel in De Soto, MO., the Rev. Ron Barton officiating. Burial: Bethlehem Memorial Gardens in Dittmer, MO

Lydia B. Kutzora , 85, of Springfield died at 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Nov. 2, 1904, in Lincoln, the daughter of August and Johanna Leppin Haseley. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred Kutzora , in 1973; two brothers; and three sisters. Mrs. Kutzora was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Ladies Aid Society. Surviving are two daughters, Florence Kutzora of Springfield and Ruth Panesci of Fulton, Md.; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Adolph Haseley of Altamont; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bisch Memorial Home, with the Rev. Michael Strong and Lewis Niemoeller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
