31051 Timothy K. Nelson, age 65, of Grand Island, formerly North Tonawanda and Texas, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, after a long illness. Born October 8, 1954 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late David and Mildred (nee McNamara) Nelson and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Tim had been a taxi cab driver in Bonham, Texas before returning to Western New York.
He was the brother of Patricia (late David) Dunning of Belmont, New York, and the late David Nelson; brother-in-law of Laura Nelson of Tonawanda; and uncle of Laura (Michael) Mosher of Grand Island, David (Christine) Nelson of Buffalo, Sandra Boehnke of Rexville, New York, Daniel (Michele Hilliard) Cain of Grand Island, Charles (Bobbi) Cain of Wellsville, Milissa (Joseph) Carmona of Wellsville, Timothy (Barbara) Cain of Bolivar, New York, and Mary (Steve) Van Etten of Woodhull, New York. Also surviving are many great nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. Services will be cared for privately. If desired, memorials to the Buffalo City Mission Women's Shelter, 100 E. Tupper Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, the Friends of the Night People, 394 Hudson Street, Buffalo, NY 14201, or any shelter supporting women and children would be preferred by Tim's family.

SANBORN-Timothy W. Snyder, 33, of Griffin Street. Died unexpectedly Saturday (Feb. 13. 1993) in Millard Fillmore Hospital - Gates Circle, Buffalo.
He was born in Ransomville on July 30. 1959, to William Hilda (Beutel) Snyder of Sanborn. In 1977. he graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. He was also a graduate of the Diesel Technical Institute in Connecticut.
Snyder worked at Bakery Savage Co. in Buffalo and at Walck Brothers Trucking Co. in Lockport as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his parents, he is survived by five sisters, Candace Hoolihan, Christine Snyder and Linda Karp, all of Lockport. Cheryl Danielewicz of Sanborn and Barbara Snyder of Tonopah; Ariz.; a brother, Matthew Snyder of Ransomville; his grandparents William and Clara Beutel of Sanborn and Naomi Tooley of Sykeville. Pa.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the DuBois Funeral Home. 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. Richard E. Pape will conduct services at 11a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Old Falls Boulevard. Burial will be in St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery, Cambria. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School.

31053 TIMOTHY WAYNE ENGLEKA, age 64 of Wheatfield, NY, entered into rest on October 26, 2019 at Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Buffalo, NY on April 25, 1955; son of Howard and Frances (Foster) Engleka. Tim was employed in retail, was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road in Wheatfield, and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and loved the quality time he spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Cindy A. (Haseley) Engleka; four children, Dawn Smith, Amy Engleka, Stephen Engleka, and Sandra (Leroy) Mytrle; his father; five grandchildren, Viola, Sierra, Autumn, Zackery, and Joseph; and many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his mother.
Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (November 1) from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted on Saturday (November 2) at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

31054 Timothy Wayne Haseley, 59 years old of Zionsville, IN, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2022.He was comfortable and surrounded by family and loved ones in Pensacola, FL, when he departed this earthly life. Tim leaves behind his wife, Kathleen Veit Haseley; his three children, Sean Haseley (Molly), Kristin Haseley and Allison Powell (Bryan), as well as his three stepchildren, Chad Blankenship (Tara), Nicole Blankenship and Shawn Blankenship. Tim also leaves behind his brother Paul Haseley (Doris) and sister, Nancy Haseley Nabholz (Rich). Tim was prece3ded in death by his parents Herbert and Hazel (Ecker) Haseley and his brothers, David and Carl Haseley. Tim took on many different titles and roles in his life; Son, brother, Dad, Grandpa, husband, stepdad, uncle, coach, Basketball commentator, golfer, cyclist, authority on all things Butler Basketball, super fan of his kids. No matter what title he was wearing, one thing was true, he was a Gentle Giant. Being a 6'8" Indiana High School Basketball stand-out, Tim earned a scholarship to play at Butler University from 1981-1985. Tim married his wife Kati in 2007 and instantly became a perfect piece of their family. He provided fatherly guidance when asked or needed, but as usual with Tim, he preferred to have fun. He enjoyed his deep conversations and banter with Shawn. As Chad and Tara began to have children, a new spark ignited in Tim as he got to experience being a grand[a. He will be remembered for his competitive and fun spirit, challenging his oldest granddaughters to backyard batting cage competitions, and enjoying rounds of golf with Chad. He always looked forward to visiting Destin, especially when Nicki was going to be there. To hear the two of them laugh together was enough to brighten any mood. Tim will be missed by the entire Veit family and his laughter will live on anytime there is a gathering. In remembrance and in homer of Tim's love of Butler Basketball, his family is asking that all donations be sent to the Bulldog Club at Butler University. 31055 Tina J. Jordan passed away on Monday November 6, 2017 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Lockport on December 19, 1961, she was the daughter of Robert Simmons Sr. and Marjorie Trude Simmons. Tina worked as an LPN for Briarwood Manor for 28 years, retiring in 2016. She enjoyed going to the casino, traveling to Las Vegas, sitting and watching the birds, her dogs Max and Holly, and especially loved spending time with children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son, Ian Jordan and her fiancé, Jack Wery.
Tina is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Seib and Charlene (Anthony) Turk; her grandchildren, Natallie and Grace Seib and Harper Turk. Tina was the sister of Robert "Buster" (Teresa) Simmons Jr., Curt (Tina) Simmons Sr., Roxanne (Joseph) Murphy and the late Kim Brodsky. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her best friend and cousin, Michele Ziegler.

Tina was a 1988 graduate of Lew-Port CSDShe was employed by Syro's as a waitress, previously owning and operating Tina’s Tiny Tots daycare for 20 years. 31057 Tobias Witmer, Jr. born Feb. 07 1844. He was graduated from the Williamsville Classical Institute and true to the Witmer habit started life teaching school during the winter and working the farm in the summer.

During the War (Civil) he spent several years in Virginia and Texas in thr employ of the U.S. Commissary Department. Next he was employed several years as a salesman at Las Vegas, New Mexico, and returning to New York State, married Carrie URBAN of Pine Hill. He served many years in the Urban mills as a cashier and later established and conducted a Real Estate and insurance business in Buffalo. He died suddenly Dec. 26, 1898. the family resided at 458 Cresent Ave. Buffalo, Erie County, NY in 1923.

31059 Todd A. Scott, age 57, of the Town of Pendleton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Born April 17, 1962 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Glenna (nee Ammerman) and Carl Scott. Todd was a Registered Nurse. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a fan of NASCAR.
He was the husband of Julie (nee Peperone) Scott; step-father of Adam (Lauren) Bobeck of Buffalo, Austin (Mabel Integro) Bobeck of Cheektowaga, and Cassidy (Eric Tomczak) Bobeck of Webster; and brother of Janice (Michael) Wagner of Pendleton, Kevin (Patricia) Scott of Pendleton, Tom (Shelley Miller) Scott of Lockport, and the late Roger (Heidi) Scott. Also survivng are his beloved dogs, Tate Scott and Miya Scott, and many nieces and nephews.

31060 Todd M. Urban went to his heavenly home on December 20, 2022, at his home in Wheatfield, with his family around him after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 2, 1944, to Kenneth and Ruth (nee Golem) Urban. Beloved husband of 54 years to Bonnie (nee Verrall) Urban. Proud Dad of three children, Todd Jr. (Heather), John (Stacey) Urban and Heather (Michael) Kijowski. The Best Poppy to nine grandchildren. Zachary (Julissa) Kijowski, Kayla (Draper) Stallings, Samuel (Sarah) Kijowski, Alexis (Christian) Urban, Kelsi Urban, Georgia Kijowski, Maxwell (Emily) Kijowski, John Jr. (Rosa) Urban and Kyle Urban. Great Grand Poppy to Maverick Kijowski and Mackenzie Kijowski. Brother to Susan Ziegler.
Todd was in the United States Army, active duty 1965-1967 with an honorable discharge in 1971. He was in the 101st Airborne (Screamin Eagles) Aircraft maintenance crew and Helicopter maintenance and was also a paratrooper with the 101st and on the Rifle Team.
Todd worked for General Motors as a machine repair maintenance journeyman and then a foreman. He then worked at American Axle as a foreman retiring in 2006.
Todd was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Old Falls Blvd. and was very active in helping to maintain the Church and the Church Cemetery.
He was a member of Rescue Fire Co. #5 for forty-five years and a trustee, member of the Volunteer Firemen’s Benevolent Association and member of the NRA.
Todd always was busy fixing or making something and willing to lend a hand when needed. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed the time he spent on his property in the Southern tier with his family and especially archery hunting with his sons.
No prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on December 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd. North Tonawanda New York. Family and friends invited. Pastors Ernest Green III and Bill Novack will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church maintenance fund or cemetery maintenance fund or to Niagara Hospice.

31061 Todd Raymond Kaiser passed away suddenly at home August 1st, 2023. Born May 14th, 1962 in Lockport, NY. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Pamela (Puff) Kaiser. She cherished all their years together. He leaves behind special children whom he regarded as his own Ciara, Sylvannah, Chaisey, Chanler, Jayden, and Erin. Wonderful brother-in-law to Patti (Kris) Puff, Kathy (John) Cogovan, and Angela (Mary) Puff Loving mother in law Joan Puff Uncle to Nicole Puff, Michelle Haentges, Jeremy and Kerri Kaiser, and Jeremy and Ashley Cogovan Brother to Randy (Tracy) Kaiser and many great nieces and nephews. Todd grew up and lived on Hoover Parkway, he had many fond memories with childhood friends and neighbors. He loved his neighborhood. Todd attended LHS where he was an exceptional soccer player who would kick the ball from one end of the field to the other. He was a legendary musician. Playing base guitar for many popular bands eventually taking his career to Boston. He had his own recording studio “Diamond Dog Studios” here in Lockport. He owned Kaiser Tile and K-TNT. He loved bowling and was taught at the age of 7 by Allie Brandt. His other passions were boating, driving his Super Bee and his motorcycles, and playing golf. Most of all he loved making memories at “the property”. He’ll be missed by so many cherished friends and family and especially his loving wife.

31062 Tom Karkau passed away on Friday April 30, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born in North Tonawanda on February 1, 1948, the son of the late Donald and Betty (Turner) Karkau.
Tom was a graduate of Niagara University and worked for the Western New York Law Center.
He liked working with the latest technology, an amateur videographer, he created videos for NTHS Drama Club performances and the choral department’s Cabarets. He always found working with the kids to be rewarding and fun.
Tom took pleasure in spending time with his wife, camping, walking, going out for dinner or just talking and sharing life’s ups and downs. He adored his children and delighted in their accomplishments. He felt it was a blessing to spend time with his 5 granddaughters, taking them on adventures or just hanging out.
Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Wasieczko) Karkau; loving father of Sandra Karkau-Coffta and Andrew (Kristen) Karkau; devoted grandfather of Charlotte, Evelyn and Olivia Coffta, Norah, and Marie Karkau; brother of Jill Karkau; brother-in-law of Paul (Paula) Wasieczko, late George (Debbie) Wasieczko and Ann (Steve) Heuer; also survived by loving nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

31065 Tompkins, Henry S., was born February 3, 1848, at Niagara Falls, N. Y., and is a son of the late Samuel Tompkins of that place. Henry S. Tompkins attended the public schools of his native town, until twenty years of age, when he entered the works of his father at La Salle to learn the manufacture of building brick, which he has chosen for his life vocation. He is also engaged in farming and fruit growing, owning a farm of fifty acres adjoining his brick kiln and works, and has a large orchard of 1,100 finely grafted fruit trees. Mr. Tompkins is a man of sterling worth, and has been eminently successful in his business operations. He has served the town of Niagara, where his business is located, for many years in various capacities, having been a justice of the peace for nineteen years, and was elected supervisor of his township in 1895 to serve for two years, and re-elected in 1897 for the same period of time. He has also served as assessor for three years, and as a member of the Board of School Trustees for twenty-five years, and justly deserves the high esteem in which he is held by his townsmen. Of Tonawanda, NY, born August 28, 1977. Died April 20, 2018, from complications after surgery. Survived by her parents, Timothy Y. and Linda (Shaffer) Tomsen; a brother, Timothy J. Tomsen; a beloved cat, Odo; her aunts, Bonnie Lemke, Connie (Fred) Robinson, Barbara (Bill) Jakobi, Margot Tomsen, Peter (Kim) Tomsen, Ann Tomsen, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Justus and Margaret Tomsen and Gerald and Mary Shaffer, and her uncles, Jim Tomsen, Jon Tomsen, and Roger Lemke. Laura loved her family and remembered each of them by calling on their birthdays and singing Happy Birthday. If she met you once and you told her your birthday, she would never forget it. She also had loving nicknames for her favorite people. She loved going on the WNY Paranormal Society's outings and to Bandits' and Sabres' games. She was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan though, much to her Dad's consternation. She loved country music and went to many concerts in the area. Laura was an upbeat positive person who would always see the bright side of things. Laura was a certified Nursing Assistant and worked at the Buffalo Veterans Hospital. She was a US Navy Veteran. A Memorial Service to celebrate Laura's life will be held at the Church of the Nativity, United Church of Christ, 1530 N. Colvin Blvd., on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery. Mrs. Follendorf was fatally stricken in her home. A fire dept inhalator squad tried to revive her by administering oxygen, but she was pronounced dead on arrival at Degraff Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Follendorf was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a member of Friedens United Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, William F. Following a lingering illness in the DeGraff Memorial hospital, Herman C. Mittlestaedt, 35 years of age, died late yesterday afternoon. He lived in the town of Wheatfield in the Shawnee road and had resided in the same locality all his life.
He was a farmer. Besides his wife, Ella, there are two sons, Paul and Arthur of the town of Wheatfield; two brothers, Charles Jr., also of the town of Wheatfield and

Arnold W. Proefrock, 93, of the Town of Wheatfield, Friday (July 21, 1995) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Proefrock was a former thirty-five year old employee of Bell Aircraft, retiring in 1964 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. He was the husband of the late Margaret (nee Pfanner) Proefrock.

He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Paul) Chapman of the Town of Wheatfield and Sally (John) Ferguson of the Town of Amherst; a son, Robert (Mary) Proefrock of the Town of Wheatfield; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Louis F. Haseley, Pendleton resident, succumbs at 85
Louis F. Haseley, who would have celebrated his 86th birthday July 30, died yesterday in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Mr Haseley lived at 419H Lockport Road. He was a long-time Niagara County resident. Mr and Mrs Haseley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 29, 19B7, the same year in which he became 80 years old. His birthday then was an occasion for a family reunion, with four of their six children returning from abroad and various parts of the country for the celebration. In addition to his wife, Mr Haseley is survived by two sons, Gordon Haseley of Pendleton and the Rev. Mrs. Breitenbach was born on January 13, 1918 in North Tonawanda to Fred (Emma Voelker) Mittelstaedt. She was the wife of the late Walter Breitenbach. Her three brothers predeceased Mrs. Breitenbach. She was a life long resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and a member of the Friendship Club. He was a member of the Tonawandas Aerie, No. 1411, F. O. E.; the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent association, the Gratwick Hose company, the Firemen's association of the North Tonawanda fire department and the Wheatfield Benevolent association. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haseley; three brothers, Albert, Otto and Edward Haseley, and three sisters, Mrs Fred Glawf, Mrs. Plumsteel, and Mrs. Harry Wilson, all of North Tonawanda. The Gratwick Hose Company has called a special meeting this evening at the company quarters on Felton street to make arrangements for the funeral.
