Beha, West Leyden, became the bride of Raymond P. St. John, son of Mr and Mrs. windsor St. John, 1106 Seymour. The Rev. E. A. Rivette officiated. The bride's sister, Miss Helen I. Beha, was maid of honor. the bridesmaids included Miss alma Kinney and Mrs. Stanley Weiss, Elaine Suprenant, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Walter St. John, brother of the bridegroom, was bets man. Leo St. John and Joseph Zybtniewski acted as ushers. "Ave Maria" and "Panis An- gelicus" were sung by Mrs. How- ard Wilbert, accompanied at the organ by Miss Mary Claire Bron- son. The bride's white gown was made with a fitted bodice, sweet- heart neckline and court train. Her fingertip illusion veil was caught to a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a white prayer book with a white orchid streamers. The maid of honor wore a gown of yellow satin and net fashioned with a fitted bodice and cap sleeves. She wore a matching Juliet cap and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow roses and carna- tions. The bridesmaids were dressed in blue satin and net gowns with matching Juliet caps and carried colonial bouquets of pink roses and carnations. The flower girl was attired in a pink net dress and carried a basket of pansies and baby's breath. The wedding reception took place in the home of the bride, after which Mr. and Mrs. St. John left for Canada and the Adiron- dacks. They plan to make their home at 507 Cottage Pl. after July 1. The bride is a graaduate of the West Leyden Central School and the Utica State Hospital School of Nursing. 31602 | Utica NY Observer - 6/21/1963 Francis William Brennan, 67, of 1625 Conkling Ave., a retired railroad employe, flea unexpectedly yesterday in St Luke's-Memorial H o s p i t al Centef. Dr. T. W. Piekielniak, coroner, said death was due to natural causes. A native of Utica, he received his education here and was graduated from Assumptjpn Academy. In 1919, he married Mary Borland in Albany. Mr. Brennan moved to Albany in 1915 and later ;to Syracuse. " He returned to Utica in 1932. He had been employed by the New York Central Railroad as a timekeeper .for 46 years. He retired in 1961. Mr. Brennan was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, it* Holy Name Society and was a veteran of World War 1. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, J. Robert, of Buffalo, and James B.. of Framlngham Center, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Albert J. (Mary) Bamberger, of Frankfort, and Mrs. Stafford M. "(Patricia) Hanna, of Beacon; four sisters, the Misses Joan, Margaret and Mary Brennan, of New Haven, Conn., and Miss Helen C. Brennan, of East Northport; and a brother, James H. Riley performing the double ring ceremony. Kathleen Kirkland was the organist. The' bride is the daughter of Mrs. Maurice Hughes, 11 Whitesboro St, Yorkville, and the late Mr. Hughes. Her husband is the son of Mrs. Ora Beasock, 214 Eagle St, and Howard Beasock, Tonawanda. Given in marriage by her uncle, William Hughes, the bride wore a gown of silk bombazine and Chantilly lace. It was styled with a scalloped neckline, long fitted .sleeves and a full skirt trimmed with cabbage roses. Bouffant veiling of silk illusion was caught to a crown, of orange blossoms. The bride carried a Bible, centered with an orchid and feathered carnations. Mrs. James Arnold, Whitesboro, attended her sister as matron of honor, and James Beasock was his brother's best man. An afternoon reception was held in the bride's home, after which the couple left on a trip to Canada. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Mohawk Valley Hunt Club, and the New York State Retired Teachers Association. 31613 | Utica NY Observer - 7/28/1962 LEICHTY was killed in a fall from a farm trailer at Route 12 and Dayton Road about 9:30 a. m. Trooper h. g. Fox of the Remsen State Police substation said Leichty was riding on the rear of a two-wheel trailer being towed on Dayton Road by a tractor driven, by his farmhand, Gordon Thomas, 33. As the, vehicles crossed Route 12, the pole on the trailer broke and Leichty fell forward to the road, Fox said. He was pronounced dead at the scene bv Dr. Robert Smith of Boonville. Dr. T. W. Piekielniak. coroner, said death was accidental and caused by fractures of the neck and skull. Fox said L e i c h t y and Thomas-were-on their way-to carry water to a neighboring farm for livestock. The other farm was without water, but not because of the drought, the trooper said. The body was taken to the Ackley Funeral Home in Remsen by the Prospect- Ambulance S e r v i c e. He suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital. Mr. Havens attended Utica schools and was employed by Tar Mac Inc., Utica, until 1957, when he moved to Evans Mills, where he was employed by the Northern Asphalt and Tar Co. until 1973. He then formed the Upstate Tar and Asphalt Co. with his son, Robert J. Havens III, and was president of that corporation. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary E. A WW II Army Veteran, Mr. Spina Was awarded the American Theatre Medal. The WW 11. Victory Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. On March 29. 1943, Sam was wed to the former Josephine Abiusi in Camp Roberts, Ca. For many yearsfhe had been a self-employed building and. roofing contractor, operating under the name of Spina & Abiusi Contractors. Mr. Spina later held the position of Building Estimator and Consultant with various area firms until his retirement in 1981 from the Buck instruction Co. A communicant of rStNAnthony of Padua Church, he was also>a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a former member of the Order of United Commerical Travelers.
