32105 Wesley F. Wright Jr. of Burt, NY, husband of Pauline Gooding Wright entered into rest on Friday February 15, 2019 in Lockport, NY. He was born in Lockport on October 12, 1929, the son of the late Wesley F. Wright Sr. and Irene Taylor Wright. Wesley and Pauline were married at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on May 5, 1951. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1952 in Korea.  Wesley was a member of Olcott Fire Co., St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Charlotteville Lodge #0073 F & AM, Newfane Historical Society and retired from Harrison Radiator as a plant engineer. She was a life long member of St. James Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society, Women of the Church, the church choir and a member of the Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of the late Hugo A. Milleville. She is survived by four sons. 32117 WHEATFIELD - Richard D. Kowalik, a retired truck driver, died Thursday in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after suffering a heart attack at home. He was 59.
Mr. Kowalik was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield Senior High School.
He worked as a truck driver, first for Modern Disposal of Lewiston and later for Robinson & Long Paving and Midland Asphalt of the City of Tonawanda. He also did metal fabrication work.
Mr. Kowalik was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, and Chapter 1517 of the IOOB Club. He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife, the former Kathleen N. Wurl; his son, Timothy, of Wheatfield; his daughter, Amy Zastrow, of Albion; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Burow, 67, of 2257 Cayuga Drive Extension, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Niagara Falls, and at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Church, Wheatfield. Mr. Burow died at his home Saturday night (April 1, 1961) after a lengthy Illness. He was a moulder 35 years at the Carborundum Co. before retiring in 1958. Mr. Burow was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Co. Surviving are his wife, Vera Burow; a son, James E. 32120 WHEATFIELD - Winifred Proefrock, a talented Danish needle painter, died Wednesday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, after a brief illness. She was 81.

Born Winifred Milleville in Wheatfield, she attended St. James Lutheran School and was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church and its Women of the Church, quilters and choir. She also taught Sunday school for more than 25 years.

Mrs. Proefrock was a member of the Bergholz Historical Society. She worked in production at an area factory during World War II. Her husband, Harold A., died in 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Joanne Haniszewski of Pendleton; a brother, Richard Milleville of Bergholz; four sisters, Florence Mielke of Wheatfield, Beatrice Nehrboss of Akron, Janice Kysor of Lewiston and Alice Lange of Wheatfield; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. James Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street, Bergholz. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

BERGHOLTZ - Erwin D. Jagow, 53, of 2587 Niagara Road, died Friday (Oct. 7, 1977) in Buffalo Veteran's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was a life-long resident of Wheatfield where he was a building inspector and ordinance officer for the last II years.
He was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Layman's League, Bergholtz Fire Company, the Wheatfield Association, and a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also past commander of the Wheatfield Post American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Harloff); two sons, Dale of Greensboro, N.C., and Brent at home; two brothers, Howard Jagow of Wheatfield; and Victor of Thurmont, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Hugo (Evelyn) Gade of Forest Hills, Md., Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Winter of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Williams and Miss Alfreda Jagow, both of Wilson. Also surviving are two grandchildren.
There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will he held 10:30 a.m. Monday from Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with the Rev. Albert W. Bahr officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.

NORTH TONAWANDA - George H. Sattelberg, 70, of 3657 Klemer Road, Town of Wheatfield, died Sunday (Nov.. 18, 1962) at Veterans Administration Hospital, Buffalo, after a lengthy illness. He had been hospitalized for four months. Mr. Sattelberg was a veteran of World War I, serving in France with the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Wurlitzer Co. here for more than 45 years before retiring in
1960. He was a member of Tonawandas Post No. 264, American Legion, and of St.
Martin's Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. Surviving are his widow, Minnie Wrege Sattelberg; two sons, Howard and LaVerne Sattelberg both of Wheatfield, two brothers, John Sattelberg, this city, and Albert Sattelberg, Wheatfield, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hoyer, Bergholtz, and Mrs. Hubert Goerss, Wheatfield. WHEATFIELD - Mrs. Anna Wiegand, 84, Nash Rd. and Niagara Falls Blvd. died at her home Saturday night (April 19, 1958) after a brief illnesss. Born in Germany, she had lived in Wheatfield for the last 43 years. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Adams Fire Co. Her husband, the late John W. Wiegand, died in 1943. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Mueller, Buffalo, and five sons, John H. Wiegand, Buffalo, William, Frederick, Adolph and Joseph Wiegand, all of Wheatfield; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Rev. Carl E. Berges will conduct the funeral service at the residence at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Acacia-Resthaven Cemetery.

Wheatfield, Jan. 5 - Mrs. Augustus Schoenfeldt, 88, widow of the late Gottlieb Schoenfeldt, of this town, died today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Augusta Shartz(sic), Witmer road. Mrs. Schoenfeldt had been a resident of Wheatfield for more than 60 years. Her death followed a two weeks illness. The funeral will be held Sunday at the home of her son, Charles Schoenfeldt, Niagara Falls boulevard, North Tonawanda, at 2 o'clock, and at St. Martin's church, Martinville(sic), a half hour later. The Rev. Theo Berner, rector of that church, will perform the services. Mrs. Schoenfeldt is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Augusta Shartz(sic); three sons, Charles and William Schoenfeldt of North Tonawanda, and Herman Schoenfeldt of Nashville, N. Y.; one brother, William Hidde; 18 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Born in Buffalo, NY on November 28, 1938 to the late Richard and Phyllis (Reith) Miller. He was employed as an electrician at Durez for 30 years and was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Wheatfield and the St. Johnsburg Fire Co. for 43 years, where he served with the fire police. Gerald enjoyed painting and woodworking. Survivors include three sons, Mark (Donna) Miller of MA, Michael Miller and David (Sherry) Miller both of IN; several step-children; a brother, Darrell (Judy) Miller of Wheatfield; sister, Linda (Dale) Krull of North Tonawanda; and four grandchildren, Allen, Alexis, Rachel and Benjamin Miller. Born June 7, 1939 in Buffalo, NY to the late Charles and Bernice (Weeks) Miller. Norman was a long time member and a past Trustee at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Walmore. He was a Boy Scout coordinator for troop 833 and a past member of the Sanborn Fire Company. Norman was employed at General Motors in Lockport for 32 years, retiring in 1999 as a press operator/instructor. He was known by many as Uncle Norm. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Pfohl) Miller; a brother, Donald (Linda) Miller; brother-in-law, Calvin (Patricia) Pfohl; sister-in-law, Audrey Johnson; aunt, Irene Miller; and Norman was a very special uncle to Sherry (Kevin) DeVantier, Cindy (Niel) DeVantier, Diana (Bill) Pfohl, Daniel Pfohl, Kylene (Dave) Hershberger; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. of Andover where Mr. Briggs

He graduated from Wilson Central High School with the class of 1962. He attended Alfred Tech for two years. On October 13th 1974, Lynn married Mary Ellen Schuman. They raised two children, Tera and Nathan.

Lynn used his skills and knowledge learned on the dairy farm he grew up on to be known as the "man who could fix anything."

Lynn's thoughtfulness and generosity of giving anything to most anyone without expectation of anything in return is sure to be missed. Lynn worked at Sevenson Environmental for the past 32 years and became a mentor to countless co-workers and has surely left a lasting impression. When you think of Lynn a simple life, a love for animals, an honest day's work, and a cold Pepsi come to mind. Lynn is loved by his late beloved wife, Mary Ellen; daughter, Tera Barnum (Jennifer Saarinen); son, Nathan (Elizabeth) Barnum; his grandchildren Levi and Emmitt; brother, Harlos (Pamela) Barnum; sister, Rebecca (Richard) Tillotson; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lest we forget countless friends and family.

The oldest of three children, she is survived by her brothers Ernie (Mary Jane) Forkey and Richard (Debra) Forkey, her children Becky Ashford, Roger (Linda) Wienke, Debra (Richard) Stenzel, Keith Wienke, Penny (Brian) Donelson, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Doris was an active member of her 1950 NTHS class reunion committee. She raised five children in NT and was a great supporter of her community. She loved to travel and visit lighthouses. She was an avid reader and always had at least one book with her. She delivered Meals on Wheels, ushered for the Riviera and Melody Fair, was involved in scouting and little league football, cheerleading and baseball. She could always be found on the sidelines of all her children, grand-children and great-grand-children's concerts or sporting events (soccer, baseball, hockey, football). Her presence will be missed. No services will be held. "When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart."
