Mr. Kowalik was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield Senior High School. He worked as a truck driver, first for Modern Disposal of Lewiston and later for Robinson & Long Paving and Midland Asphalt of the City of Tonawanda. He also did metal fabrication work. Mr. Kowalik was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, and Chapter 1517 of the IOOB Club. He enjoyed hunting. Survivors include his wife, the former Kathleen N. Born Winifred Milleville in Wheatfield, she attended St. James Lutheran School and was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church and its Women of the Church, quilters and choir. She also taught Sunday school for more than 25 years. Mrs. Proefrock was a member of the Bergholz Historical Society. She worked in production at an area factory during World War II. Lynn worked at Sevenson Environmental for the past 32 years and became a mentor to countless co-workers and has surely left a lasting impression. When you think of Lynn a simple life, a love for animals, an honest day's work, and a cold Pepsi come to mind. She was an avid reader and always had at least one book with her. She delivered Meals on Wheels, ushered for the Riviera and Melody Fair, was involved in scouting and little league football, cheerleading and baseball. She could always be found on the sidelines of all her children, grand-children and great-grand-children's concerts or sporting events (soccer, baseball, hockey, football).
