32402 “Devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother”
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear devoted mother, Alice C. (Née Gordon) Haseley.  She went to be with the Lord, and our father Raymond, the love of her life, on Sunday, February 4, 2018.  Born on September 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Harrott) Gordon.
Alice was born in the city of Niagara Falls, where as a young girl, she was employed at Belbot’s and worked in the accounting department for her aunt and uncle, Alice and Walter Belbot.  In 1946, she married our father, Raymond E. Haseley.  They moved from the city out to the country on Lockport Road, where they raised 13 children, in addition to her younger brother, Gary Gordon.  Although a full house, family and friends were always welcome.  She gave true meaning to the saying, “enter as friends and leave as family.”  Her sweetness and kindness to everyone who entered our home will always be remembered. She truly exhibited the most abundant love to all and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Alice was a lifelong and active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, until its closing.  She joined St. James Lutheran Church, and became a member of the church community.  Alice was also a member of Ladies Home Bureau, and in her younger years, enjoyed bowling.
Alice is survived by her children, Brent (Debbie) Haseley, Glenn (Bonnie) Haseley, Kevin (Lori) Haseley, Jeff (Kathy) Haseley, Greg (MaryEllen) Haseley, Brenda (late Jeff) Marohn, Joyce (Bill) Schimschack, Debbie (John) Galleciez, Barbara (late Bruce) Haseley, Bob (Dale) Haseley and Russell (Sue) Haseley; daughter-in-law, Sharen Haseley; grandchildren, Kasey, Keith, Brent, Genna, Ella, Deanna, Lindsey, Ryan, Kevin, Tony, Steve, Jolene, Bryan, Deena, Dave, Michael, Jennifer, John, Michelle, Stacy, Rhonda, Shawn, Kristen, Ken and Gordie; 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Doris (late William) Davis and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by son, Gordon (Sharen) Haseley; daughter, Sandra (late Don) Slusser; grandson, Matthew; brothers, Edward (late Ruth) and Gary Gordon, and daughter-in-laws, Vickie and Barbara Haseley.
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the 1st floor nurses and staff at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility for their wonderful and loving care of our mother, and kindness extended to our family.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, in the Town of Niagara.  Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, February 10th at 9:30 a.m. which will be celebrated in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road in Bergholz.  PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Interment will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Caring Friends of St. James Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Michael R. Goodlander, Otto Redanz Funeral Home.  Please visit www.goodlandercares.com to leave a message for the family.
