Wife of the late Henry F. Broecker, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emmet (Marion) Killian of the Town of Wheatfield; a granddaughter, Mrs. Arthur (Ann) North of Rochester; two great-grandsons, James and Matthew North; two brothers, Walter J. Williams of the Town of Wheatfield and Edmund Williams of the Town of Pendleton and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in St. John Lutheran Church Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Strasburg, 72, of 823 Pasadena Ave., Niagara Falls, historian for the Niagara County American Legion, died yesterday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Buffalo. Born in Tonawanda, he retired from the Hooker Chemical Corp. in 1957. He was a World War I veteran and was a charter member and past commander of LaSalle Post 1142, American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans of Niagara Falls. He also was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. Husband of Clara Schultz Strasburg, he also is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Milleville of the Town of Wheatfield; six sons, Robert, Donald, William, Richard, Albert Jr., and John, all of Niagara Falls; four brothers and 17 grandchildren. Y. He is one of five children born to Benjamin and Seba (Stayle) Long, both natives of Pennsylvania. When David was thirteen years of age, they came to Porter Station, and engaged in farming and milling; when David was eighteen, he owned the present Pierce Mills, of Union Township, until about twenty-four years old, when he went to Jackson Township and engaged in saw-milling. In 1869, he and others built the Liberty Mills, at present owned by Mr. Wheeler. In 1877, he went to Millersburg, Ind., and remained about two years. He then came to Porter Station and embarked in his present business. He has the only rooms of the rind in town, kept in an orderly manner. In politics he has always been independent, and votes for the man and not the party.
