She then began her career with Niagara County as a telephone operator, for the last 15 years before her retirement in 1972. Theresa was working as a switchboard operator. Mrs. Rozyczko was a member of St. Mary of the Cataract Church and enjoyed ceramics. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Rozyczko, who passed away on August 1, 2002; a son, Patrick E. Rozyczko; brothers, Joseph, Francis, William, Edward and John Birmingham. She is survived by her son, Michael C. (Linda) Rozyczko; and a grandson, Michael Karl Rozyczko, a1l of Niagara Falls; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Theresa graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1943, and from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, in 1948 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. She also did postgraduate work at Niagara University. On September 8, 1948, she married Paul L. Palumbo at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Palumbo predeceased her on January 12, 2006. Theresa was employed with the Niagara Falls Board of Education, teaching Home Economics at South Junior and Gaskill until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the College Club of Niagara Falls and the Mercyhurst Alumni Association. Theresa enjoyed needlework, crocheting and knitting. In addition, she enjoyed working in her garden, traveling, cooking and reading. Theresa is survived by her children, Paula Birmingham, Janet (Rob) Schuster, and Martin (Carol) Palumbo; her grandchildren, James (Karen) Birmingham, Drew (Renee Stack) Birmingham, Meghan (David) Camaratta, Johanna (Cory) Reighard, Laura (Joey) Fore, Justin (Sarah) Palumbo and Alex (Jolanne) Palumbo; great-grandchildren, Brenna, Logan (and his mother Aimee), Connor, Brett, Luke, Leah, Robbie, Ireland, and Dominic; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Luke (late Kathryn) Sabella, Marie (late Julius) Grandinetti, Vincent (late June) Sabella, and Anthony (late Julia) Sabella. Her letter states: RR#2 Elmira, ON, Nov.12, 1945 Letter sent to Hilda: I read your advertisement in the personal column of this weeks Hanover Post and as I went to school and Sunday School with your mother and hwe sisters and as the late Fred Zarn (or is he still living ) was a first cousin to my first husband Fred Kolpin, I was deeply interested. Your mother's sisters names were Alvina (Mrs Reiner, Annie - married name not known, Elfreda (Mrs. MWm. Witt, Marie - married name not known. There were also three brothers, two of whom were named Henry and Don. I can get the address of Mrs. W. Witt although I don't know it at the present moment.
