Mr. DeLerno was born in Brook- lyn Nov. 11, 1902, son of Pauline and the late Alexander DeLerno. For 19 years he was employed as a ship chandler in Brooklyn. He married Jennie Talerico Apr. 24, 1941. Since 1943 he had lived in utica where he was employed at the incinerator plant until his ill- ness. Surviving besides his wife, and mother are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Burbon and Mrs. George DePina, Brooklyn; two sons, John DeLerno, Jr., Brooklyn and Fran- cis DeLerno, Utica' a sister, Mrs. John Sanders, Syracuse; a brother, Gus DeLerno, Brooklyn; two aunts, Mrs. Dannie Deno and Mrs. Lor- etta Hall, Utica and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Helen Ehlinger was the organist and sito performed the double Mts.John Talerico the vocal soloist. Dinner followed for The wedding party and members of the family in Trink- aus Manor. Guests were received that evening in the Parkway Gardens, after which Mr. and Mrs. Scalzo left to spend the week in New York City and Atlantic City, N.J. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a sabrina necklined gown of silk taffeta with tapered sleeves and a bell skirt with a bouffant back bow and a cathedral train. Bouffant veiling fell from a headpiece of crystals. The bride carried a prayer book with white orchids and ivy. Mrs. Paul Ciruzzi was matron of honor for her cousin. Bridesmaids were Miss Joann Cittadino, the bride's sister, Miss Carmel Paciello, and Miss Joyce Dimambro and Miss Roseann Cittadino, the bride's cousins. The bridegroom's neice, Miss Karen Ann Manhino, was the miniature bride. Jeremiah Pugliese was Mr. Scalzo's best man. His ushers were Albert Taurisano. Campbell Sr., 76, of Sylvan Beach, a former-auto- dealer in Oneida, died Friday In the Oneida City hospital from injuries. he suffered in a fall and from pneumonia. Dr. George R. Kinsella, Madison County coroner, aft- er an autopsy, said that Mr. Campbell suffered three brok- en left ribs and pneumonia developed. He was admitted to the hospital at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Mr. Campbell, police said, fell while at the Zimmerman Boarding Home, 239 Lexing- ton Ave., where he lived. He was born at North Bay. He leaves six sons, Spencer, Sylvan Beach; Edward, Oneida; Erwin, Jr. with the U. S. He was born in Boonville, Oct. 5, 1890, son of James H. and Mary Horton Denslow. He married Alice Briggs in Boonville April 5, 1907. She died Dec. 17, 1959. He was a life resident of this vicinity, except for a few years in Syracuse, where he was engaged in mason work. He operated a canal boat on the Black River and Erie Canals from 1910 to 1922. He also operated a sandpit and sand block works near Alder Creek Station. Six years ago he started a service station operation on Rte. 28 at Alder Creek. They were attended by Mrs. Paul Buehler. of Orlskany. as matron of honor and Paul Heeley, of Spring- field, Mass. Cousin of the bride- groom, as best man. The ushers were Paul Buehler, brother of the bride, and Stanley Eaton, both of Oriskany. Ted Roberts of Utica uncle of thebridegroom sang "O Promise Me", and Mrs. George C. Frost, of Utica, was at the organ. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a period gown of white sik tulle with full skirt and long train, and the full bodice was caught into a ruffle at the neckline by orange blossoms. Long tightly-fitted sleeves were caught into large puffs of tulle at the shoulder. Her ciricular veil of ilu- sion fell from a tiny bonnet fash- ioned of tulle. She carried a bou- quet of white roses and gladioli. The matron of honor wore a gown of starlight blue marquisette. The long bodice was self-tucked and banded with chantily lace. Her bonnet of tulle, similar to the bride's matched her gown. She caarried a bouquet of pink roses and blue delphinium. The brides mother wore a cinna- mon brown crepe dress with matching accessories, and_wore a corsage of yellow roses. The brlde- groom's mother wore a soldier blue crepe dress with matching acces- sories.and a corsage of pink roses. Murphy Memorial Hospital this morning after an illness of several days, pneumonia being the cause of death. Mrs. Annia was formerly Miss Anna Stratton and was born at Jewell (West Vienna). She married Mr. Annis of North Bay more than 50 years ago and most of their lives were passed there. Mr. Annis died in this city three months ago and since then Mrs. annis had resided with relatives here. She was a sister of the late James Flanagan, formerly treasurer of Oneida county and a former mem- ber of Assembly. Surviving are three children, Mrs. J. D. Wellman and Mrs. Guy Bowman, Rome; Mrs. William Hemmingway, Westmore- land; one sister, Mrs. W. B. Graves, and one brother, John F. Flana- gan, both of this city. Barringer, 76, who had been town clerk, highway superintendent and justice of the peace fov Town of Ava, died suddenly at his home, 103 South St.. here', 'at noon March 11, 1956. Oneida County Coroner Preston Clark pronounced death due to cor- onary occlusion. Mr. Barringer was also a wel- fare officer for several years and served as trustee of School Dis-. trict 6, Town of Ava, for many years. He was born in Town of Lee on May 6, 1879, a son of C. Ham- ilton and Martha Haynes Bar- ringer. He was twice married. He married Etta Tuttle on March 18, 1903 in Ava, by the Rev. George Dermont. She died May 23, 1916. He married Edna Brandis on Feb. 26, 1949, at the clinton Methodist Church, by the Rev. Alden Smith. He spent his early life in Town of Ava, where he owned a farm at Flint town. Since moving here in 1942, Mr. Barringer had worked for Oneida County Reforestation and had worked at the Elsasser Loom Works here the last several years. Mr. Barringer was a member of Ava Methodist Church, Boon- ville grange 1547, a charter member of the Maccabees of West Leyden and Summit Lodge IOOF, Boonville. He leaves his wife; four daugh- ters, Mrs. Herbert Ringwald of Ava, Mrs. Samuel Spinelli of Six, Mrs. Stuart Gieseman of Clinton, Mrs. Harry Hartson of West Branch; a son, Wallace Barringer of Ava; a step-daugh- ter, Judith Brandis, at home; 13 grandchildren; three great grand- children; a sister, Mrs. Burton Hurlbut of Boonville; several nieces and nephews.
