Jones Memorial 'hospital in Wellsville
occurred the death of Mrs. Weltha
Selden Briggs, aged 77 years, of
heart disease.
Deceased, who was born in the
town of Willing, was united in
marriage to Adalbert C. Briggs on
February 4, 1886 and they resided in
Almond, Andover and Whitesvllle,
but for years occupied a farm outside
of Andover where Mr. Briggs
died a number of years ago.
Mrs. Briggs leaves four children,
Mrs. G. {M. Lewis of Whitesville,
John and Howard Briggs of Andover
and Mrs. Maynard Scott of Belmont.
The funeral service will be held
from the Methodist Church in Andover,
today, Thursday, July 23, 1931
at 2 p. m., and burial will be at
Hallsport, N. Y., Rev. R. C. Shergur
of Andover officiating.
Mrs. Briggs was a member of the
Methodist church in Port Allegany,
Pa.

32202 Whitney Lynn Barnum, June 28, 2015, born on May 18, 1944, in Buffalo, NY, to parents, Whitney E. and Verna O. Barnum.

He graduated from Wilson Central High School with the class of 1962. He attended Alfred Tech for two years. On October 13th 1974, Lynn married Mary Ellen Schuman. They raised two children, Tera and Nathan.

Lynn used his skills and knowledge learned on the dairy farm he grew up on to be known as the "man who could fix anything."

Lynn's thoughtfulness and generosity of giving anything to most anyone without expectation of anything in return is sure to be missed. Lynn worked at Sevenson Environmental for the past 32 years and became a mentor to countless co-workers and has surely left a lasting impression. When you think of Lynn a simple life, a love for animals, an honest day's work, and a cold Pepsi come to mind. Lynn is loved by his late beloved wife, Mary Ellen; daughter, Tera Barnum (Jennifer Saarinen); son, Nathan (Elizabeth) Barnum; his grandchildren Levi and Emmitt; brother, Harlos (Pamela) Barnum; sister, Rebecca (Richard) Tillotson; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lest we forget countless friends and family.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Friday, July 3rd at Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young Street, Wilson. Passed peacefully, at home in North Tonawanda, April 1, 2021. Doris was born on October 28, 1932 in Tupper Lake, New York to Francis and Jane (Ashlaw) Forkey. The oldest of three children, she is survived by her brothers Ernie (Mary Jane) Forkey and Richard (Debra) Forkey, her children Becky Ashford, Roger (Linda) Wienke, Debra (Richard) Stenzel, Keith Wienke, Penny (Brian) Donelson, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Doris was an active member of her 1950 NTHS class reunion committee. She raised five children in NT and was a great supporter of her community. She loved to travel and visit lighthouses. She was an avid reader and always had at least one book with her. She delivered Meals on Wheels, ushered for the Riviera and Melody Fair, was involved in scouting and little league football, cheerleading and baseball. She could always be found on the sidelines of all her children, grand-children and great-grand-children's concerts or sporting events (soccer, baseball, hockey, football). Her presence will be missed. No services will be held. "When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart." A Buffalo native, Jolls died Monday (Feb. 8, 1993) in Orchard Park Health Center.
Formerly an Academy Lane resident, he worked for Cowles-Staufer for 45 years before retiring. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was the widower of Ethel Duwe Jolls . Survivors include a son, Thomas of West Falls; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

32219 Wiley E. Tothill passed away February 27, 2021. Born May 2, 1933 in Lockport, he was the son of Howard and Gertrude (Baney) Tothill.
Wiley was a Lockport High School graduate, class of 1951 and served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956 during the Korean War. From 1967-1974 he owned Tothill Datsun which was the first Japanese car dealership in the Western New York area. Wiley then owned Lockport Honda from 1975 to 1993 which was the second largest Honda motorcycle dealer in New York State in the 1980's. From 1995 to 2010 he owned Niagara Digital Satellite, due to his advanced Parkinson's advancing Wiley had to retire. Though he did keep busy with traveling, photography and building his model trains.
Wiley was a past member of the Lockport Exchange Club, was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a Niagara County Sheriff Special Deputy and Mounted Patrol team member and was a pistol instructor. Wiley was also a member of the Lockport Conservation Club and their pistol team as well.
He enjoyed traveling, was a wonderful photographer and gifted many of his friends with the photos that he took around the world. But Wiley most enjoyed being home being surrounded by his loving family and friends. The Tothill family is sure that he will remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his knack for getting into mischief, and will always be remembered for saying, "If you are going to do something, do it right."
Wiley is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years, Victoria J. Tothill; children, Wiley (Jacki) Tothill, David Tothill, Darin (Angela) Tothill, and Karen Garbutt; grandchildren, Wiley Ethan, Sara Ann, Brandon, Tyler and Tristan Tothill, and Andrew Garbutt; brother, Paul Tothill. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathy Tothill.
There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

32220 Wilfred A. “Junior” Strassburg, Jr., 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 5, 2019, after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls on January 12, 1950, he was the son of the late Wilfred and June (Beemer) Strassburg, Sr.
Junior married his beloved wife of 42 years, Diana (Bauer) Strassburg on February 6, 1977 in Niagara Falls. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for B.F.C Corp., Mark Cerrone, Inc., and also assisted in building J & J Strassburg Trucking with his son. He was also an exempt Niagara Active Hose for over 25 years.
Junior enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He also owned race cars that his son and nephew raced competitively throughout the area. For his accomplishments, he was awarded the Ransomville Speedway Owner of the Year Award.
Above all, Junior’s life was devoted to family. He centered his life around them and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren more than anything. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James (Kayla) Strassburg and Janice (Chad) Strassburg;  grandchildren, Jamie, Victoria, James, Jr., Lauren and Jason; siblings, Janice Strassburg, Patricia (Robert) Derba, Bob (Marlene) Strassburg, Roger Strassburg, Adrian Strassburg, Karen (Robert) Brawn, and Kristine Strassburg; sister-in-law, Alice Edwards, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Eugene (JoAnne) Strassburg, his in-laws, Joseph and Minnie Bauer; and his brother-in-law Ronald Bauer.
Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M. at M.J. Born in the Town of Wheatfield on May 25, 1945; son of the late Walter and Nora (Walck) Beutel. Wilfred served in the United States Army, during the Viet Nam war. A member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church; he was an active lifetime member of the American Legion - Wheatfield Post 1451, where he served as past Commander for several years. Wilfred was also a member of the Eagles, and Moose in North Tonawanda.He enjoyed playing Euchre, golfing, fishing and hunting.Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela (Bentley) Beutel. They were united in marriage on August 14, 2008; two sons, Michael (Kirsty) Beutel of Huntsville, AL, the Rev. Dr. Greg (Kim) Beutel of Forth Worth, TX; two step-children, Kristy (Jacob) LaRock of Wheatfield, and Harold (Mary) Chapman of Niagara Falls; a sister, Marilyn (Otto) Scheifer of FL, sister-in-law, Linda Beutel of FL; and eight grandchildren, Nikki, Megan, Matthew, Callum, Kaitlyn, Sophia, Ethan, and Vincent. SANBORN — Wilfred L. Smith, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at the Clair Bridge Cottage, North Tonawanda, NY. He was born in the Town of Cambria, on May 22, 1916, the son of the late Warren and Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Smith.



Mr. Smith attended school in Wilson. He served with the US ARMY during World War II, in the European Theater and was honorably discharged. After the war he was employed with the United Paper Board in Lockport for over seven years and with Howard Human, which became Truesdell's Building Supply for 18 years and later with the Niagara County Highway Department as a truck driver, until retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Sanborn-Wheatfield Seniors and Friendship Club in Sanborn, the Sanborn American Legion and several national and local clock associations. Mr. Smith enjoyed gardening, repairing clocks, golfing and was an avid sportsman.



He is survived by his wife, Helen M. (Miller) Smith. They were married in 1986, he also was the husband of the late Gertrude (Voelker) Smith, who died in 1985; one daughter, Darlene (Fred) Forsythe of Coudersport, PA; a step-daughter, Shirley M. (late Roy) Richardson of Sanborn, NY; also five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great- great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was the brother of his late twin sister, Winifred Fritton, the late Lincoln, Harvey, Gerald, Harold and Leroy Smith.



The family will be present on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Ronald Lord officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 3921 Mapleton Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. BERGHOLZ - Wilhelmine A. Heuer, 91, of St. John Lutheran Care Center, Mars, Pa., died Wednesday (Nov. I 1; 1989) in the care center.
Services will be held Sunday in Bergholz.
She was born in Niagara Falls, Aug. 13. 1898, daughter of the late August and Albertine (Walck) Mueller. She was active in church groups and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Mars, Pa.
Mrs. Heuer was the widow of the Rev. Louis Heuer, who died Jan. 16, 1983. He was a Lutheran minister at. various churches for over 65 years. She was the mother of the late Rev. Bernard Heuer and sister of Edward Mueller, who died Oct. 19, 1989.
Mrs. Heuer is survived by a daughter, Gertrude Kalk of Canton, OH; and seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visiting hours are Saturday in Mars and at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, where services be held at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Contributions to St. James Lutheran Church are acceptable as tribute.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, for Wilhelmine A. Heuer.
Her late husband, the Rev. Louis Heuer, was a former minister of the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Heuer, 91, died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 1989) in the St. John Lutheran Care Center in Mars, Pa. She and her husband moved to Pennsylvania from Columbus, OH, in 1975. Mr. Heuer died in 1983.
He was a minister at Niagara Falls area churches for 17 years before being assigned to churches in other parts of the country.
Mrs. Heuer is survived by a daughter, Gertrude Kalk of Canton, OH; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren

32230 Willard F. Zastrow Town of Cambria, NY - Willard F. Zastrow, 76, of the Town of Cambria, died Saturday, October 6, 2007 in InterCommunity Memorial Hospital, Newfane, after a lengthy illness. Born March 10, 1931 in the Town of Wheatfield to the late Charles and Arlene (Jacobs) Zastrow. On May 20, 1950, he was married to Shirley (Wilkins) Zastrow, and together raised their four children. Willard worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, first with the Town of Cambria Highway Dept., and then worked for 22 years for the Niagara County Highway Dept., retiring in 1987. He also owned and. operated his own, Hubcap Collecting Business, where he was known as the "Hubcap King". Willard was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge, an exempt member of the Cambria Volunteer Fire County, a member of the Niagara County Fireman's Assoc., where he was involved with the ticket sales. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, camping, flea markets and yard sales. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Douglas W. Zastrow, Donald F. Zastrow, Darlene A. Zastrow and Duane W. Bill was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz where he served as a trustee and volunteered for many years. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School in 1955. Bill worked for Zimmerman Builders, Town of Wheatfield Highway Dept., for various construction/carpentry builders and retired in 1994 from the Town of Wheatfield Sewer Dept (sewer foreman). Bill was a 9 year member of the Air Force Reserve and served in active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He was a long standing member of the Wheatfield Republican Club and committeeman. Bill enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, family gatherings, traveling to visit out-of-town family and was a helpful carpenter/handyman to many. Survived by his dear wife; four children, Carol (Richard) Myers, Robert (Kimberly) Buerger, Brenda (Rodney) Wise, Bruce (Kristine) Buerger; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. 32232 William "Bill" LaGue age 92, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Fowler, IN, he was a son of the late Elmore and Ula LaGue. Bill was a WWII veteran with the Army Air Corps. He retired from the Government Printing office after 32 years of service. He was a member of American Legion, DAV, and the Knights of Columbus. After moving to Surfside Beach in 1978, Bill became active in Civic Projects. He organized the Grand Strand Patriotic Alliance in 1980, served as President of Surfside Beach Civic Association, served as first Chairman of the Surfside Clean City Committee, and served 17 years on Surfside Planning and Zoning Commission. In 1998 he received the Santee Cooper- WPDE Award, recognizing community service for volunteering and helping disabled veterans in the community.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Vera LaGue; two sisters, Joan Douglas of Indianapolis, IN and Elizabeth List of Knoxville, TN; four daughters and husbands, Carol and Tom Fox, College Park, MD, Judy and Tom Simpson, Crofton, MD, Susan and Ron Humphries, Laurel, MD and Teresa and Greg Johnson, Surfside Beach, SC; thirteen grandchildren; ten of MD and three of Surfside Beach, Matthew, Lisa and Laura Johnson; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

32233 William "Bill" Nichols passed away on April 15, 2019, at age 81, in Batavia, NY, where he lived with his longtime companion, Diane Ball. William was born in Niagara Falls, NY, in September 1937 to the late Miles Nichols and the late Marie (Korff), Nichols Hillman. He resided in Lewiston for most of his life, where he took over the family farm and Nichols Farm Market upon the passing of his father. Later in life, he also worked for Orkin. William attended Stella Niagara Catholic School and graduated from Lewiston Porter High School. He attended SUNY Agricultural and Technical Institute at Morrisville, and graduated in 1957. He also attended dairy school in Kansas. William was a long time member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Lewiston NY. He was a member of the Niagara County Farmer's Bureau, the Lewiston Kiwanis Club, and the 4H Club of Niagara County, where he served as President. His interests were in farming, antique farm equipment, steam engines and trains. He is survived by his children from his first marriage to Joanne, David Nichols of North Carolina, Scott (Darlene) Nichols of the Town of Niagara, and Karen (Alex) Scalzo of the Town of Niagara; and his children from his second marriage to Jane, Cheryl (Michael) Newton of Wilson, and Shawn Haseley of Niagara Falls. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew (Lisa) Nichols, Ashley Nichols, Jason (Ashley) Scarf, Justin Scarf, Nicole Newton, Kyle Scalzo, Alexis Scalzo; and great-granddaughter, Raegan Nichols Sloma; as well as several cousins. He was a member of the Adams Fire Company and in the past served as Chairman of the Town of Wheatfield Planning Board. Bill spent most of his career in the automobile business as a salesman at Lampe Motors and J.C. Stevens and Parts Manager at Muck Motors. He also worked at Wurlitzer as a draftsman, at Curtiss-Wright during World War II on the P-40 and C-46 airplanes, and at Bell Aerospace as an Expeditor. Bill’s greatest source of joy and pride was his family. He is survived by two sons Gary W. (Gail) Andrees of East Amherst, NY, David L. 32237 William A. Haseley, 89, a former coal delivery driver and mill foreman, died Monday (Nov. 10, 2003) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after an unexpected illness.
He was born in Lewiston and attended local schools.
Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he was chairman of the parish Board of Education, a trustee and a member of the Call Committee and Second School Building Committee.
He attended church and Sunday school regularly until his death. He was also a member of the Historical Society of North German Settlements in Western New York.
In his youth, Haseley worked on the family farm until he began working at the Thiele family farm in North Tonawanda. He later worked as a coal delivery driver and mill foreman for Thiele Coal & Feed, North Tonawanda, from which he retired at age 65 after 48 years of service.
He enjoyed gardening, and he was known for his strawberries and produce and taking care of his lawn. He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan, watched football and hockey and went deer hunting in his earlier years.
He was married to Irma Helene. Walck, who died in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Iris of Sanborn; a son, Gary of Sanborn; four brothers, Wallace of Bergholz, and Albert, Marcus and Benjamin, all of Sanborn; a sister, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; and two grandsons.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 12, 1939 to Jesse E Josey & Elsie (Burgess) Josey.
Upon graduation from Tonawanda High School in 1957, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He retired from Norampac Industries in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Juanita (Halliday) Josey; children Diana (Steven) Phelan of Parker, CO, Brian Josey of DePeire, WI, Donna (John) Walsh of Altoona, PA; and grandchildren Eric Phelan of Parker, CO, Elisabeth (Brett) Johnson of Longmont, CO and Shania Phelan of Parker, CO; brothers Jesse E (Marion Jackson) Josey, Jack Josey, sister Norma (Marvin Camel) all of Tavares, FL and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father.

He was also on active member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau and its Extension Service. He was predeceased by his wife, Selma, who died in 1968. 32241 William A. “Bill” Pierangelino, Sr., 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 23, 2021 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Silvio and Maria (Burnetti) Pierangelino.
Bill was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1956. On August 19, 1959 he married his beloved wife, Patricia D. “Pattie” (Moore) Pierangelino in the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Mrs. Pierangelino predeceased him on July 3, 2018.
Bill began working at the New York Power Authority, as well as various local factories prior to working alongside his brother, Pierre. In 2000, he retired from the New York State Parks & Recreation Department as an electrician after 20 years.
Bill was a devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church and its Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247 and a boy scout leader in his younger years. Bill was an avid dice player, enjoyed going to the casino, and enjoyed small craft projects in his later years.
Mr. Pierangelino is survived by his children, Laurie (James) Fasciano, William A. Pierangelino, Jr., Christina Pierangelino (Jerry Carella); his grandchildren, Maria (Vernon) DiCarlo, Daniel (Safah) Fasciano, Katherine (Max) Sokolov, Marisa Pierangelino, Janelle Pierangelino, Amanda (David) Wylucki and was predeceased by one granddaughter, Kayla Ackerson-Pease. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Margo and Vienna; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 32242 William Allan Schrecengost, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020, at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. Born in Mercer, PA, he was the son of the late William and Wilma Jean (Little) Schrecengost.
Bill enlisted into the United States Army in 1971 and proudly served until his honorable discharge in 1975.  On December 23, 1989, he married Judith (Marshanke) Schrecengost at the former Niagara Falls Wintergarden. Bill was employed as a millwright at Cascades in Niagara Falls for several years prior to moving to North Carolina in 1996 with his wife. While living in North Carolina, he worked as a boiler operator at Jordan Lumber where he retired after many years of dedication.
Bill and Judy recently returned to Niagara Falls to be closer to their family. He enjoyed restoring old cars, spending time outdoors, camping with his family, as well as cat fishing.
Mr. Schrecengost is survived by his children, Tina (late Duane) Delgrolice, Jeff (Paula) Norton, Peggy (Ken) Paul and was predeceased by his daughter, Linda (Ken) Cooper. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole Falcone, Anthony Falcone, Jenny (Donny) Ames, Kate (Kenny) Stoneback, Adam Paul, Brian Paul and Cody (Vicki) Paul;  his siblings, Sam (Judy) Schrecengost, Ross (Debbie) Schrecengost, Nancy (Jeff) Burdick, Richard Schrencengost, Anna (Rick) Hartloss and Ruth (Mike) Cicek and was predeceased by one sister Donna (late Terry) Purves. William Broeker ten years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Broeker of the Witmer road died last evening. Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers. Edward and Reynold Broeker and four sisters, Elsie, Selma, Martha and Ellenore Broeker. The funural will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence and half an hour later from the St. Peter's church on Oliver street, Rev. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the city cemetery.

32247 William C. Heroy, retired miller, died at 4:30 o'clock this morning at his home in the Rapids. In his 88th year. He had been in failing health for the past two years.
Mr. Heroy was born in the town of Hartland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Heroy but had lived in the Rapids since he was three years old. As a young man he learned the carpenter trade. Later he opened a custom feed and cider mill which he operated for 50 years.
Surviving are one son, John E. Heroy, and a grandson, Donald Heroy, both of Lockport.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home. Burial will be in Stahler cemetery.

NORTH TONAWANDA - Funeral services for William C. Stenzel, 89, of 2552 Niagara Road, Town of Wheatfield, will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Fretthold Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence W. Rabe officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Stenzel died Monday (May 24, 1971) in Mount St. Mary Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the St. Johnsburg Fire Co., was a former welfare officer of the Town of Wheatfield for 25 years, and had operated the Uncle Bill Roller Rink in St. Johnsburg. He is survived by his widow, Elsie (lngwersen) Stenzel; five daughters, Mrs. Lewis Werth of the Town of Wheatfield; Mrs. Alfred Schimschack of California, and Mrs. Walter Newmann, Mrs. Robert Schoenfeldt and Mrs. Howard Sahr, all of North Tonawanda; a son, Howard G. Stenzel of North Tonawanda; eight grandchildren and 11 great -grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at. the funeral home.

William Clifford Thorn, Jr., 65, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Andover, Ohio on February 8, 2016. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the loving son of the late William, Sr. and Clara (Pulvino) Thorn.

William moved to the Niagara Falls area with his family as a child and attended the former St. Mary’s of the Cataract School. He was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School, where he studied Culinary Arts and began working as a Chef. He also attended Cosmetology school and worked at locally at various studios for many years. William was later employed as a social worker with Niagara Cerebral Palsy. In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling to Europe and South America.

Mr. Thorn is survived by his brother Wayne Thorn and was predeceased by his sister, Dianne Thorn. He is also survived by his Uncles John and Russel Pulvino; one niece Lisa Harless; cousins Mary Ellen (Richard) Olka, Kelly (Bryan) Brooks, Theresa (Larry) Pinghera and John Scott.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s of the Cataract Church in Niagara Falls at a later date. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.
