- Couple Married 50 Years Doesn't Plan Retirement
Thursday, October 30, 1969 Tonawanda NEWS
Retirement just doesn't seem to fit in the active life that Mr and Mrs. Victor H. Haseley lead. Although they have been married 50 years, Mr. and Mrs. Haseley have no plans to retire. The couple operates a roadside stand of products they raise at their fruit and vegetable farm where they live at 2928 Niagara Falls Blvd. Mr. Haseley retired once in 1965 from the Allen Hershell Company where he was a carpenter but he loves to do a little farming. He found he could keep busy and make a little extra money, too. The North Tonawanda couple, who were married Nov. 2, 1919 in St. John Lutheran Church, will celebrate their goldenanniversary at an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the home of their daughter. Mrs. John (Ardis) Wolf. 6951 Maple Drive. St. Johnsburg. They also have another daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Beatrice) Wolf of Glen Burnie. Md.. and four grandchildren.
