Ceiene DeF'dipps Is Bride
The marriage of Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Scolase was solemnized
Saturday (June 23, 1956) in St.
John dc La Salle Church with
the Rev. Francis W. McKcnna
performing the double-ring ceremony.
The former Miss Celcne
Dc Filipps is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Savario De Fillips,
Frontier Ave.
Given in marriage . by her
father, the bride wore a ballerina-
length gowri of white lace
trimmed with rhincstoncs and
pearls. Her finger-tip-length veil
was held by a tiara of mother
of pearl sequins, rhinestones, and
pearls, and she carried a white
prayer book with a white orchid.
Miss Joan Pinkowski was maid
of honor in an orchid crvstalctte
gown. Miss Joan Colby
was bridesmaid in green, and
Linda Scolase was flower girl
in yellow. Louis Scolase Jr. was
best man for the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Scolase. 62nd St., and
Robert Colby and Francis De
Filipps were ushers.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Dc Filipps chose an aqua
sheathe dress with matching
duster. The mother of the bridegroom
also favored an aqua print
dress.
After their honeymoon in
Washington, D.C., Mr. and Mrs.
Scolase will reside in 1111 Whitney
Ave.
