A motor trip through Michigan is the honeymoon
choice of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Maurice LeVan who
exchanged nuptial vows this morning (July 20, 1957) at
11 o'clock. St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Church was the
scene of the double-ring ceremony.
Bride-elect
Baskets of white gladioli
adorned the altar of the church.
The Rev. Leo J. Glynn officiated,
uniting the former Miss
Diane Catherine Browne, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Grant M.
Browne, Roselle Ave., and the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
R. LeVan, Sanborn.
A gown fashioned of pearl
white French imported Chantilly
lace and cupioni silk was worn
by the bride. It featured a scalloped
sabrina neckline, a front
lace panel scattered with sequins
and pearls and. long sleeves
pointed over the hand. The very
full skirt was styled with a draped
sash tied at the back.
Sequins and pearls decorated
the bride's headpiece, a lace plateau,
that held a fingertiplength
veil of French imported
silk illusion. She carried a colonial
bouquet of sweetheart
roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Roger E. Davis, Buffalo,
was matron of honor. She was
attired in a ballerina-length gown
of white pinstripe nylon dimity
over blue taffeta and blue floral
hat. White sweetheart roses
and blue stephanotis formed her
colonial bouquet
Serving as best man was
James W. Hamill, Sanborn.
Ushers were G. Michael Browne,
brother of the bride, and Douglas
W. HalL
A reception will be held this
afternoon at the home of the
bride's parents. The mother of
the bride will receive in an ice
blue chiffon sheath complemented
with matching accessories
and an orchid corsage. The
bridegroom's mother has selected
a beige organza over taffeta
dress and matching accessories.
A moss green orchid corsage
will complete her costume.
A sheath of white linen lace
over blue satin with a blue
satin bow and streamers forming
back interest will be worn by
the bride as a traveling costume.
White accessories and a corsage
of pink sweetheart roses will
complete her ensemble. .
The newiyweds will reside in
Davisville, R. I., where the
bridegroom is stationed with the
U. S. Navy.
