Mr. rind Mrs. Harvey Hosford
of Grand Ave., Savannah,
will celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary with "open
house" from 2 to 5 p.m.., Sunday.
Daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Pierson Tooker of Holley,
. Miss- Luella Tooker and Harvey
Hosford were married May 8,
1911, in Niagara Falls, Canada.
A family friend, the Rev. David
Moir, officiated. Attendants
at the wedding were, Mrs. Molr
and Milton Sinclair of St.
Catherines, Ont.
After a ten-day honeymoon
hi the Catskllls, Mr. and Mrs.
Hosford lived in Holley and
other western towns. Mr. Hosford
was employed by Ludington
Construction Co. during
the building of the Barge Canal.
In 1915, the Hosfords moved
to Savannah.
They have two sons, Harvey
E. of Seneca Falls and H. Elliott
of Savannah; and three
grandchildren.
Mr. Hosford was a wellknown
painter, until poor
health made him give up t he
trade. Until recently, he was
employed by the state at Cayuga
State Park. He has been
in the hospital recently, but
his wife enjoys good health
and takes an active part in t he
Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Hosford
Is a retired telephone operator.
