Chief of Police Chester J. Bills
and Mrs. Bills or 46 1/2 Cayuga
Street announce the engagement
of their daughter, Beverly Ann to
Thomas F. Walsh, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Walsh of 49 Capitol
Street. Mr. Walsh was recently
discharged from the Army Air
Forces, after serving in the China-
Burma-India theater of operations.

Miss Beverly Ann Bills, daughter
of Chief of Police Chester J.
Bills and Mrs. Bills of 46 1/2
Cayuga Street, was married to
Thomas F. Welsh, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Walsh of this city, in
St. Alpbonsus Church at 10
o'clock this morning. Rev. John
Widman performed tbe ceremony.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
white satin gown fashioned with
a close-fitting bodice, long sleeves
and a sweetheart neckline. and a
fingertip veil, embossed with lace
madalions, attached to a Dutch
cap of lace. She carried a bouquet
of white roses and small white
pompons.
Miss Barbara Bills, sister of the
bride, who was maid of honor,
wore a gown of American beauty
velvet and gold sequia Juliet cap.
She carried talisman roses aad
white pompons. The bridesmaids,
who were similarly attired, were
Miss Dorothy Moses, Miss Beatrice
Boglione and Mrs. Jack Berry.
Miss Helea Lepak sang the responses
to the Mass, aad "Panls
Angelicas." Mrs. Edward Gilbert
was at the organ.
John Walsh was best, man for
his brother. The ushers were
Peter Walsh, brother of the bride-
groom and Paul Brewer.
The bride's mother chose an
afternoon dress of blue with
black accessories and white cor-
sage. Mrs. Walsh, mother of the
bridegroom, .selected a brown
dress with brown accessories, and
a similar corsage. A breakfast
and reception at the Osborne
Hotel followed the ceremony.
For traveling, the bride selected
an aqua dress of wool crepe,
black accessories and black coat
trimmed with silver musk rat.
After a wedding trip to Boston
the couple will make their home
in Syracuse where Mr. Walsh will
enter the College of Applied
Science *t Syracuse University.
The bride is a graduate of Auburn
East High School, class of
1941. and attended Syracuse University
College of Fine Arts. The
bridegroom is a graduate of Auburn
Senior High School and was
recently discharged from the
Army Air Forces after three years
service, two of which were spent
ia the C-B-I theater of operations
