A romance of the Centenary Methodist
Church will come to a climax to-day
with the wedding at Niagara Falls of
W. S. Fairington of No. 172 Parkside
avenue. and Mrs. Gertrude B. Witmer.
a former resident of this city.
The ceremony will be performed by
Rev. E. L. Waldorf of Buffalo. a former
pastor of Centenary Church, at the
home of the bride's parents. Mr. and
Mrs. O. T. Kimberly at Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Witmer came to Syracuse as a
bride several years ago. She and her
husband Joined Centenary Church. Mr.
and Mrs. Farrington were active members
of the same society, and the former
has been a trustee for several years.
After her husband's death. Mrs. Witmer
maintained her residence here al-
though she spent most of .her time with
her parents, She had for several months
had a room at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
George W. H u l l . in West Onondaga
street.
More than a year ago Mrs.Harrington
died and Mrs. Witmer. who had been a
warm friend, assisted the bereaved husband
in many ways. The loss of a husband
by one and of a wife by the other.
established a bond of sympathy between
them and early this year they became
engaged.
Mr Farrington is general manager of
Farrington brothers Flour and Feed
Company and of the Everybody's grocery
stores. He and his bride will return
to Syracuse Friday and will begin
housekeeping in his Parkside avenue
home.
