Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Maerten, 49 Plymouth Drive, Tonawanda,
announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra,
to Thomas Zellner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Zellner,
1005 Erie Ave., North Tonawanda. The future bride is a senior
in Tonawanda High School. Her fiance attended North
Tonawanda High School. No date has been set for the
wedding.

Miss Sandra ° Maerten became
the bride of Thomas Zellner at a
ceremony Sept. 10 in St Francis
oi Assist church before an altar
decorated with white gladioli
and white pompoms. The Rev.
Norman Lux officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Maerten,
49 Plymouth Dr., Tonawanda and
the bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Franklin Zlelner, Erie
Ave.
The bride's gown was designed
with an alencon lace bodice with
scalloped neckline trimmed in
rhinestones with lace sleeves
fining ni a point The bouffant
skirt had a redingote effect with
tiers of alencon lace ruffles
peeking through. The back of tie
skirt was caught up in a rosette
of nylon and lace. The hem was
trimmed with alencon lace. A
lace petal headpiece held her il-
lusion veil. She carried white
glameilias with white stream,
ers.
Mrs. Cheryl Houston was matron
of honor in a gown designed
with an Empire sea aqua satin
bodice, elbow sleeves and sea
green velvet skirt Miss Vicki
Maerten, sister of the bride and
junior bridesmaid was dressed
identical to the matron of honor.
Aqua petals held their veils.
They carried crescent bouquets
of yellow roses and white pompoms
with yellow streamers.
Similarly gowned was Robin
Manzella, flower girl, with a sea
green velvet headpiece covered
with yellow roses and white
pompoms to match the basket of
flowers the carried.
Robert Houston was best man.
Ushers were Dixie Derrick and
Wayne Ostolski. Tommy Mansella
was Junior usher and Richard
Zellner, ring bearer.
The mother of the bride wore
a three piece aqua and white
brocade suit with aqua accessories.
A corsage of glameilias
tinted aqua complimented her
ensemble.
A wedding breakfast at the
Continental Inn followed the
service. An evening reception
was held at the Eldredge Club.
For her honeymoon trip to
Cape Cod the bride chose a two
piece navy and white suit with
navy accessories and a corsage
of roses.
