Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Kline of 819
East Robinson street announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Olive, to Wilbur Lee Burkholder,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Burkholder
of Niagara Falls Blvd.,
Tonawanda. The wedding will be
solemnized January 10.

In a candlelight ceremony held
January 11 at 7 p. m. in St.
Peter's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Miss Olive Louise Kline,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy
Kline became the bride of Wilbur
Lee Burkholder son of Mr. and Mrs.
John Burkholder of North Tonawanda.
The Rev. Robert Hein
officiated at the double ring service
before the alter, which was
decorated with white pom-poms
and tall white tapers. Lighted
candles were placed in the windows
of the church.
Accompanied by Elmer Doebler,
organist, Mrs. Grace Dumbrowski
sang "The Lord's Prayer",
"Because" and "At Dawning".
Given in marriage by her
father the bride was lovely in a
gown of white slipper satin, fashioned
with sweetheart neckline,
long tapering sleeves and a graceful
skirt with chapel length train.
Her finger tip veil was caught
with orange blossoms and she carried
a bouquet of cala lilies tied
with white satin ribbon.
The matron-of-honor, Mrs.
Joseph Papoi and the bridesmaids,
Miss Marian Dunker and Mrs.
John Burkholder, Jr., all wore
white shadow lace gowns with
peplums. Lace caps and long lace
mitts complimented their gowns
and they carried bouquets of
red roses and white pompoms.
John Burkholder Jr., was his
brother's best man and the ushers
were Eh-oy Kline, Jr., brother of
the bride, and Darrell Burkholder
brother of the bridegroom.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Kline chose a navy blue
crepe dress, with a pink flower
hat and black accessories. Mrs.
Burkholder chose a powderblue
dress with black accessories and
both wore corsages of red roses
and white pompoms.
Following the ceremony about
one hundrad and fifty guests attended
a reception in the VFW
Hall, Robinson street. The bride's
table, with covers for twenty, was
centered with a four tiered wedding
cake and decorated with
vases of yellow roses and pink
gladioli and tall tapers in crystal
holders. Guests were present
from Buffalo, Kenmore, Woodlawn,
Lockport, Medina and the
Tonawandas.
Mr. and Mrs. Burkholder left
for a month's motor trip to Miami,
Florida. For traveling the bride
wore a brown gabardine suit,
white fur hat, brown accessories
and a beige topcoat Her corsage
was of yellow roses.
Prenuptial parties included a
dinner at the Stuyvesant Hotel
