WILSON - The Exley Methodist Church
was the setting for the marriage of Miss
Kathleen May Schrader and Douglas Charles
Betts Saturday. (Aug. 24, 1968). The Rev.
Harold Faba officiated at the 3 p.m. double
ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Arnold Schrader, 165 Lake St. and the
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Betts, 131 Lake St.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride
wore a gown of gardenia white starched
organza trimmed with a Chantilly lacv border.
The gown was fashioned with a scoop neckline,
tapered sleeves and bouffant skirt which ter-
minated in a chapel length train. A double
crown of Venise lace accented with pearls
caught her silk illusion bouffant veil and she.
carried a cascade of white carnations and
ivy centered with Ian orchid.
Mrs. Larry Bulmer was matron of honor.
She wore a gown of orchid lace and chiffon
with a sleeveless coat accented with satin
Dior bows at the shoulders. A coronet of
flowers held her four tier veil and she carried
a cascade of white carnations.
Similarly attired were the bridesmaids,
Mrs. Wayne Everett and Miss Cynthia
Seefeldt.
Larry- Bulmer was best man for his
brother. Ushers were Victor A. Betts Jr.,
brother of the bridegroom and Craig Schrader,
brother of the bride.
A reception was held in the Wilson Fire
Hall after the ceremony. Upon their return
from a wedding trip to Cape Cod and the
.New England States the couple will make
their home in Harbor Trailer Park.
