John O v e r t o n Thompson
will reside at 2177 W. Creek
Road on their return from
a motor trip to New England.
The former Miss Joan
Payne, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Chester Payne. Hart
land Road. Gasport. became
the bride of the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph Thompson,
S. Transit Road, Lockport,
July 29. 1961. at the Emmanuel
Methodist Church,
Lockport.
Rev. Robert C. Root of-
ficiated at the ceremony.
GIVEN in marriage by
her father, the bride wore
a gown of white silk organ
za and Alencon lace styled
with a Sahrina neckline and
long sleeves. The bouffant
skirt was accented with
lace appliques and continued
to a chapel train.
A seed pearl and sequin
crown .secured her silk ill
usion scalloped veil and she
carried a cascade of white
roses, pompons and stephanotis.

MRS. GARY HARROD of
Barker, was her sister's matron
of honor gowned in
white dotted Swiss over
maize taffeta with a match
ing picture hat and a white
basket of yellow and white
Shasta pompons.

Their gowns were white
dotted Swiss over aqua taffeta
and they carried bas-
kets of yellow and white
pompons

port, was best man. Guests
werie seated by Eugene and
Roger P*ayne. brothers of
the bride. Dudley Smith and
James Thompson, the bridegroom's
brother, both of
Lockport.
A reception was held at
the American Legion Hall,
Lockport.
