Miss Eileen Arthur, Transit
Road, recently entertained for Miss
Joyce Toenniessen, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Norman Toenniessen a
bride-elect of this month,, whose
marriage to Gerald Bull will take
place June 19 at 12 o'clock noon at
the English Lutheran Church. The
table was decorated with a two tier
wedding cake. Other decorations
were in yellow. Miss Toenniesssen
received many gifts.

A Colonial gown was chosen by Miss Joyce L Toennies-
sen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Toenniessen. South Tran-
sit Road, for her marriage to Gerald L. Bull, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rockwood. Fisk Road, which was solemnized Sat-
urday at noon in First English Lutheran Church, the Rev. Ivan L. Lange, pastor, officiating.
The bride's gown of white
starched chiffon was fashioned with
a fitted bodice and shadow neck-
line, outlined with a shirred
bertha. The full Basque skirt over
a hoop ended In a long, full train
edged with lace. Her veil of bridal
Illusion waa caught to a crown of
orange blossoms and she carried a
Colonial bouquet of white roses.
Miss Patricia Landrigan of Buf-
falo, maid of honor, wore an aqua
marquisette gown with a high neck-
line and shirred applique on the
skirt and bodice. She wore match-
ing gauntlets and a shoulder-length
aqua veil caught by giant canter-
bury bells.
BRIDESMAIDS' GOWNS
Bridesmaids, Miss Donna Ander-
son of Buffalo and Miss Oeralduie
Bull, sister of the bridegroom, wore
gowns of pink and blue marquisette
with high necklines, fitted bodices
and full stlrts. They wore gaunt-
lets and headpieces matching that
of the honor attendant. Miss Land-
rigan carried a Colonial bouquet of
pink roses and the bridesmaids car-
ried similar bouquets of yellow
roses.
Ernest Rankle was best man and
ushers were Richard Brauer and
La Verne Olena. The bride was giv-
en in marriage by her father.
Mrs. Helen Kinzly Webb, organ-
ist, played the wedding music and
Mrs. Clarence Dean sang
"Through the Years" and "Be-
cause."
The bride's mother wore a silver
gray sheer dress with white acces-
sories and the bridegroom's mother
wore a dress of dusty pink shadow
lace with white accessories. Both
wore corsages of pink roses.
Pink and white peonies and pyre-
thrum decorated the church for the
ceremony, after which a reception
to 200 guests was held in Eagles'
Temple, where a buffet luncheon
was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Bull left for a
northern motor trip, the bride
wearing an aqua gabardine suit
with white accessories and a
corsage of white roses. They will make
their home at 91 Cottage St
OUT-OP-TOWN GUESTS
Out-of-town wedding guests were
from Buffalo, Wilson, Olean, Niag-
ara Palls and Newfane.
Both bride and bridegroom were
graduated from Lockport High
School, Class of *44, and the bride
It a graduate of Deaconess Hos-
pital School of Nursing. The bride-
groom spent 16 months In the U.
S. Army, ten of which were spent
In Japan. Hit rating waa technic-
ian, fourth grade
Pre-nuptial events included a va-
riety shower given by Miss Ger-
aldine Bull; a variety shower given
by Miss Donna Anderson a green
and yellow kitchen shower given by
Mrs.. Mildred Toenniessen and Mrs.
Vera Toenniessen; a personal show-
er given by Miss Eileen Arthur and
a dinner party given by Mrs Floyd
Rockwood.
